Bears vs Cowboys CBB Basketball Spread/Handicapping
This is a huge one in the Big 12. Both teams are tied for 4th in the conference and looking to secure a spot in the Big Dance. OSU made a huge play by winning at Kansas and now Baylor can do the same by beating the Cowboys. It should be an exciting game in an exciting venue.

Baylor
Baylor has zero momentum having lost their last two games heading into this one. But the did beat OSU in their previous clash in Waco by 10.
I do like this Bears team, I just don’t understand why they keep losing. Pierre Jackson is one of the better point guards in the country. He is a scorer too but I think he picks his spots nicely. Down low they have good length with Cory Jefferson and Isaiah Austin.

The block shots and score and Austin can even be a three point threat. They just take stretches where they lose focus but this team has talent.
I probably like Baylor more than I should given they disappoint often. Their talent is tantalizing but they need to show up more often than they do. I think they can play this one close and threaten the Cowboys. It will be in doubt until the last couple of minutes and should be an exciting contest.
Oklahoma State
There may not be a more impressive victory this season then Oklahoma State’s road toppling of Kansas. [ad-6571516]
It ended the Jayhawks 33 game winning streak and launched the Cowboys into the national rankings. OSU has a very manageable next 4 games before facing Kansas again, a chance to work on playing at the high level they showed against KU. There is no doubt there is talent there.
To give you an idea of how impressive their win was OSU didn’t exactly play a flawless game in beating Kansas. Yes they got 53 points from Markel Brown and Marcus Smart but they were outrebounded for the game and LeBryan Nash only scored 7 points. This is kind of a good thing because you can see that they have not yet reached their ceiling. They are getting great point production from the perimeter but they will once again need their bigs to stand up in the paint.
OSU, like so many college teams, has stark home-road splits. At home they win and cover 63% of the time while on the road they have covered just once all season. This one should be close so I don’t think there will be much value on the home team unless the number drops towards game time.
