Houston Rockets vs. L.A. Clippers Gambling & NBA Handicapping Prediction

Houston vs LA NBA Picks

This should be a very entertaining game. Houston will have played the previous night against Sacramento but given their style of play you would think they would perform well on 0 days rest and they do, 9-5 SU and ATS. [ad-4468020]

Houston

This is a high scoring team and they will be facing another one in Los Angeles – just look at that enormous total.

This team is a contender and they will be looking to prove it in this revenge situation.

When he was at Florida I had a hunch that Chandler Parsons would be a better pro than a collegian…and it is coming true. He might be the most underrated player in the league and we will get an introduction to him in the playoffs like we did with Paul George last year.

As good as Parsons is this is still James Harden’s team. He is not always smooth but you cannot argue with the results, and he is clutch too.

Houston has been good on the road at 16-11 and has been playing their best basketball of the season over the last couple of weeks. I thought the number on this one would have been a little smaller so it is Houston all the way for me.

You might even squeeze another point or half as tip off approaches.

Los Angeles

The Clippers looked terrible in a road loss to Memphis last week but have bounced back with two very strong road wins against New Orleans and Oklahoma City. For me that resilience looks like it could be the product of new coach Doc Rivers, who might have been just what this talented team needed to push through to that next level.

Now they return home and can not afford to relax even though they had an easy time with the Rockets the last time they played

Having Jamal Crawford in the starting lineup in place of injured J.J. Reddick weakens the Clippers second unit but his production has been huge lately. Over the last 10 games he has not scored less than 19 points and was huge in the win over OKC with 36.

He and Chris Paul do not make for an intimidating defensive backcourt but they might are one of the most productive combos in the league.

The Clippers have only lost 5 games at home all season long but their ATS record is just .500. This is probably a matter of this team being more public this season than possibly ever before.

That sucks the value right out and a lot of their home games will be against the West which has lots of very capable teams.

Spread Pick: Houston +5.5
O/U Pick: Under
Score Prediction: Houston 107 – Los Angeles 102
