Philadelphia will try and snap a three game losing streak when they travel to Milwaukee to take on the red hot Bucks who have won three in a row.

Ever since winning five straight games early in February to give the Philly faithful a bit of hope ,the Sixers have lost 16 out of their last 20, getting progressively worse along the way. Things have gotten so bad they now trail the Knicks in the Atlantic division by 1 ½ games and have the fourth worst record in the conference at 24-47. Their only win in their last nine games came against the Nets (108-97) on March 17th and this was the only time they scored more than 100 points during this span.

In their last game, a 93-109 loss to Orlando, they actually led by three points midway through the second quarter, but were buried by a barrage of three pointers by the Magic, who shot 52% from the field. Through 71 games Andre Igoudala has been their only ray of hope, averaging 17 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game.

Samual Dalembert leads the team in rebounds, averaging 9.6 per game. Other than these two players, the rest of roster is very forgettable.

Midway through February, Milwaukee found them self going nowhere fast. They were 24-28 on the year and had just got waxed by Houston 127-99 in front of the home town crowd. Starting with a routine 91-85 win over Detroit two nights later, they started to play with a sense of urgency and began to take more of a team approach to the game.

Since that point they have won 15 out of their last 17 games and at 39-30 find themselves in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, 5 ½ games behind Atlanta and Boston who are currently tied for fourth at 45-25. In their last eight games they have wins over Cleveland 92-85, Boston 86-84, and Denver 102-97 to prove they can beat the better teams in the league.

Another big reason for this turnaround has been the play of John Salmons. Since coming over from Chicago in a trade, he has averaged 20.5 points per game in the 17 games he has played with the Bucks.

Another plus has been the play of Andrew Bogut, who is averaging 16 points per game and leads the team in rebounds with 10.3.

Philadelphia seems content on riding out the season in a complete free fall, while the Bucks suddenly have a team good enough to make some noise in the upcoming playoffs.

In a classic case of two teams going in opposite directions, stick with the Bucks all the way in this one.
