Denver Nuggets vs. Philadelphia 76ers Preview

On the season the Nuggets are 19-26-3 ATS and they have an O/U record of 19-27-2 and the 76ers are 24-24-1 ATS and they have an Under record of 16-33.

This season the 76ers are 5-18 at home and the Nuggets are 7-15 on the road.

In their last games the Nuggets lost to the Charlotte Hornets 104-86 and the 76ers lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers 97-84.

A few weeks back the Nuggets were climbing up the standings in the West winning 5 straight, but since then they have lost 9 of their last 10 including their last 2. However, they are a 6-point road favorite facing a 76ers’ team that is in last place in the East.

Not only are the 76ers the home underdog tonight, but leading scorer Michael Carter-Williams is questionable for the game with an injury. The 76ers are 0-9 this season without Carter-Williams in the lineup.

The Nuggets are reeling, but the 76ers are not doing much better losing 2 of their last 10 games and their last 2 as well.

Ty Lawson (a6.5 ppg) leads the Nuggets in scoring, but is only averaging 8 ppg in the last 3 games. Overall, the Denver offense ranks in the middle of the pack in the league, but they are only averaging 93.2 ppg in their last 10 games. They have to get back on track on the offensive end of the court, as they cannot rely on their D, which ranks 26th in opponents’ points allowed, to win.

While the 76ers are in the basement of the Eastern Conference they have won 2 straight at home.

If Carter Williams cannot go, the 76ers will have to get more scoring from Robert Covington, who is the only other 76ers player averaging in double figures, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, and K.J. McDaniels, who are each averaging over 9 ppg.

Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur both missed the last Denver game with illness and both are questionable tonight. The loss of Faried may be a big one, as he is averaging 11.9 ppg and leads the Nuggets in rebounding.

The Nuggets are only 3-10 in their last 13 games facing teams from the Eastern Conference.

In the last 2 seasons these teams have split the 4 games facing each other.

NBA Betting Trends

* Denver is 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 road games.
* Denver is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss.
* Denver is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games facing the 76ers in Philadelphia.
* Philadelphia is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
* Philadelphia is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.

4* Cappers NBA Free Pick

The 76ers have been a good bet as of late, but I don’t think Carter Williams will go and because of that the Nuggets will win and cover in the City of Brotherly Love tonight.
