The Chicago Bulls have all but wrapped up their dream season, having already clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, but still have some unfinished business as they try to notch win number 61 over a New York Knicks team that has beaten them twice already this season.

The Knicks can clinch the East’s sixth seed with one more victory while sweeping the Bulls for the first time in 11 seasons when the two face off at the Garden on Tuesday night.

A loss by the 76ers will also do it for New York who owns the tiebreaker with Philadelphia who concludes the season Wednesday at home against Detroit. New York visits Boston.

Although without the team’s leading rebounder (8.2RPG) Amare Stoudemire, the Knicks extended their winning streak to seven straight on Sunday with a 110-109 victory in Indiana.

Stoudemire, who leads the team 25.4 PPG has been sidelined the last two games with a sprained left ankle and is still listed as questionable for Tuesdays’ contest.

Trailing by as many as 11 points early in the fourth quarter, the Knicks narrowed the deceit to six with just over three minutes remaining before going on a 7-0 run to end the game.  Carmelo Anthony registered 34 points and the go-ahead bucket before blocking the potential game-winner in the closing seconds.

Anthony has averaged 31.5 points in his last eight games after putting up 22.2 in his previous nine. Tuesday’s game against visiting Chicago will be the Denver-transplants first since being traded to the Big Apple.

Meanwhile, the Bulls won their 19th of their last 21 games, securing the East Conferences No. 1 seed with Sunday’s 102-99 win over Orlando, which was without Dwight Howard.

The win places Chicago one game back of West-leading San Antonio for home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. So, the Bulls won’t be resting any of their stars.

Sunday’s victory was sloppy as the Bulls 60 percent shooting effort was trumped by the team’s inability to take good care of the rock, finishing the game with 21 turnovers.

The Bulls’ leading scorer Derrick Rose (25.1 PPG), who has reached the 30-point mark in three of his last five games, bailed the Bulls out by scoring 39 points, 11 coming during the fourth quarter rally.

Chicago has the second stingiest defense in the league at 91.3 points per game, while New York is the second highest scoring team in the league at 106.8 points per game.

Recent Trends:
CHI are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 Tue. games.
CHI are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games.
Over is 9-4 in CHI last 13 overall.
Over is 7-1-1 in NY last 9 Tue. games.
NY are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Central.
Over is 7-3 in NY last 10 overall.
CHI are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings.
Under is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings.

Matt’s Free Prediction: Bulls – This game comes down to whether or not Stoudemire will be ready to go. If not, New York could have trouble on the glass against a Bulls team that ranks second in the league with 44.1 boards per game.

What are you talking about man? The Knicks have already clinched the sixth seed in the East. Who else is going to catch them?

The Knicks clinched the East’s sixth seed Monday with Philadelphia’s loss to Orlando. At the time of this writing that had not happened.
