ATS Matchup Insight | CappersPicks Insider Preview

Los Angeles (33-15) will try and keep all of its players on the court this time after Blake Griffin was ejected in a 105-103 Clippers loss on Dec. 25, in Oakland.

Since that debacle the Clippers have been on a roll and are coming into Thursday’s contest off a 110-103 win over the Wizards on Wednesday, making it four straight and 10 of 12 to push five games in front of the Warriors in the Pacific Division.

Griffin scored 29 points and is averaging 25.2 points in 13 games since Chris Paul went down to help keep the Clippers near the top of the Western Conference.

Paul who injured his shoulder the last time the two teams met, will not be on the floor this time around.

Meanwhile, the Warriors (27-19) seem to be stuck in a funk ever since their 10-game winning streak came to an end earlier this month, and enter Thursday’s game following up a 88-85 home loss to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. Guard Stephen Curry, who was averaging 29.2 points in his last five games, struggled to 8-of-23 from the field against the Wizards.

The loss dropped the Warriors to 3-6 in their last nine games since the end of their winning streak, and they are 1-3 on their current five-game home stand.

The Warriors however, had been struggling on the defensive end, but have held each of their last two opponents to 88 points, making them a legitimate championship caliber team, if they can find the momentum they had earlier this season.

Hopefully it will be soon as the face the Clippers along with center DeAndre Jordan, who has recorded double-digit rebounds in 25 straight games and has pulled down 35 boards in the last two contests combined, seem to be well on their way up.

Matt’s FREE Prediction

I don’t expect the same type of game this time around as before, as the Clippers will be more than likely a little too tired from all that travelling they have been doing as of late.

Even so, I don’t think it would be enough to give the advantage to the Warriors, so I’m taking the road dog here, with a good deal of confidence.

Clippers 107, Warriors 103
