Sacramento has lost 7 games in a row and are a complete mess right now. Injuries look like they’ll play a big role in this match-up as well.

Lebron James, Kevin Love and DeMarcus Cousins are all questionable for tonight’s game. The line opened up at –6.5 in favor of the Kings, but this line is OFF at most shops and could change based on the injuries.

James missed the Cavaliers last game, but they beat Portland (99-94) thanks to Irving dropping 55 points in the game. James has been a huge part of the Cavs winning streak, so they need him back quickly.

Irving now has 93 points in his last two games and one of those was with James in the LU. If these two can co-mingle the Cavs will be deadly in the East. If James can’t go, expect another big game from Irving.

As a team the Cavs average 101.7 PPG (11th), 42.3 RPG (18th) and 21.6 APG (13th). They allow 99.8 PPG (16th), but all of these numbers are improving. If the Cavs keep it up they’ll be 2nd in the East in no time.

Sacramento scores 101.7 PPG (11th) and averages 44.7 RPG (8th), but they also give up 104.6 PPG (27th) and they don’t dish it out well (19.6 APG – 30th). Considering the talent this team has underachieved.

The Cavs are a really deep team after a couple recent trades. They have size, shooting, speed, defense and everything else. Even if James sits out I expect the Cavs to win at home, so bet them as an underdog.

J.R. Smith will step up if James is out to help with scoring. Mozgov and Thompson will have their way in the paint, especially if Cousins is out. Gay and Collison won’t be able to hang with the Cavs depth.

One problem for the Kings is that they have some elite talent, but they also lack depth.

Even when healthy this team struggles with their bench production and that’s why they’ve been unable to win lately.

4* Free NBA Picks: Sacramento Kings vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

This point spread may be different once we find out who’ll be playing and who’ll be sitting, but as long as the Cavs are underdogs I’ll bet them without James. If James plays I’d take the Cavs by as much as –5 pts.

Cleveland Cavaliers +6.5 (-110)

The Kings are a mess and there is no way they’ll head on the road and pick up a win. Sacramento doesn’t play any defense and that’s trouble when you’re going up against one of the best offenses in the NBA.
