After seeing 3 after 3 go in on Wednesday night, the Mavericks head to Sacramento, where the shooting percentages are much lower. The Mavericks go for the season sweep of the Kings when the two do battle Thursday night.

NBA Odds

Dallas

It’s surprising that the Dallas Mavericks all don’t have whiplash.

[dfads params=’groups=63742&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

A night after seeing Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and just about all the Golden State Warriors hit 3 after 3, the Mavs will head to Sac-Town to take on a team they’ve beat 20 out of 22 times.

Dallas dropped in 114 themselves and held a 22 point 1st quarter lead in last night’s contest. While there was no reason to blow such a large lead, they shouldn’t have any hangover effect come Thursday. They were just the unfortunate opponent who ran into a hot opponent.

Prior to their contest with Golden State, the Mavericks defense had been locking down.

They were holding the opposition to 86.3 points in their previous 3 games before the Steph Curry outburst. On the season, Dallas is allowing 101.5 points a game (23rd).

PG J.J. Berea will get the go against at point guard for the injured Rajon Rondo. Berea has scored 10 points in each of the two games he’s started at PG.

Dallas comes in 18-10 on the road thus far. Backers have been pleased with them as they’ve gone 16-12 ATS in those 28 games.

Sacramento

The Kings 3 point shooting doesn’t even come close to Steph Curry himself. Over their past 10 games, Sacramento is shooting 29.1 percent from 3 point range and are hitting just over 5 three pointers a game this season. To compare that to Curry, the Warrior PG hit 10 3’s on Wednesday against Dallas.

The Kings will have their hands full come Thursday night, as they are a complete mess right now. With just 1 win in their last 10 games, Sacramento is allowing just shy of 110 points per contest. Their season average of points against currently sits at 104.6 points against.

The lone bright spot for the Kings this season has been DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins is scoring 23.7 points a game on the season and grabbing 12.5 rebounds. He is coming off a 26 point, 11 rebound performance last time out.

The Kings play their better portion of basketball at home this season, where they are 10-16.

NBA Basketball Trends:

  • Mavericks are 27-11 ATS in their last 38 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points.
  • Mavericks are 66-32 ATS in their last 98 road games.
  • Kings are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
  • Kings are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Thursday games.

Thursday Night NBA

Both the Kings and Mavericks have something in common. They both come in off a beat down at the hands of the Golden State Warriors. Dallas allowed 128 to the Warriors last night and the Kings allowed 121 to them on Tuesday.

Free 4* NBA Basketball Pick: Sacramento +3

This is a fading the public pick. Everyone from Vegas to offshore shops are on the Mavericks bouncing back.

Sacramento 102, Dallas 100

If Cousins can get going early, he can cause the Mavs fits inside and throw them off.
