Cappers Titans vs. Chiefs Betting Trends + Pick

Preview and Week 7 NFL cappers matchup tips for this week’s Tennessee Titans vs. Kansas City Chiefs matchup, plus an NFL Betting Preview, a look at the gambling trends, plus a free pick

Dysfunctional Kansas City Chiefs Host Unbeaten Tennessee Titans

The dysfunctional Kansas City Chiefs (1-4 SU, 2-3 ATS, 2-3 O/U), have a ton of on-field problems that are already causing a near-mutiny!

Now, Kansas City, nearing the verge of total collapse, has some off-field drama with the news that starting running back Larry Johnson has been charged with assault of a female – for the third time – since joining Kansas City as the teams first round draft pick in 2003.

If that wasn’t bad enough, the Chiefs will host the NFL’s only remaining unbeaten team in the BetUS Sportsbook when the Tennessee Titans (5-0 SU, 5-0 ATS, 2-3 O/U) visit Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

Both teams will be well-rested after having a bye in Week 6, but Kansas City’s plethora of problems are hanging around the team’s collective necks like a two-ton weight.

Oh, and did I mention that Hall of Fame-bound tight end Tony Gonzalez wants out, but won’t get his wish after Kansas City failed to move him before the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday?

Either way, Kansas City is in deep trouble!

The Chiefs are coming off an emphatic 34-0 road loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 4, allowing Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme to complete 14 of 22 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns while also giving up 123 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries to Carolina running back DeAngelo Williams.

Veteran quarterback Damon Huard completed just 10 passes in 21 attempts for 86 measly yards in head coach Herman Edwards’ predictable offense, throwing two interceptions and getting sacked three times along the way while the uninspired, (quitter) Johnson rushed for a grand total of two yards on seven carries.

The Titans managed to eke out a close 13-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens as quarterback Kerry Collins completed 17 of 32 passes for 162 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in the win. Despite being harried by Baltimore’s fine defense, Collins managed to connect with tight end Alge Crumpler for the game-winning11-yard touchdown pass with just 1:56 remaining in regulation. The Titans held Ravens’ rookie quarterback Joe Flacco to just 153 passing yards while pressuring him into two interceptions to cover as one-point road favorites.

NFL Odds

Tennessee Titans -7½ -110
Kansas City Chiefs +7½ -110

Over 35½ -110
Under 35½ -110

Analysis: I know Arrowhead Stadium can be a tough place to get a road victory, but that was when Kansas City had at least some sort of competitive team. This pick clearly does not take rocket scientist-type of brain power with the Titans clearly being the better team no matter where these two teams meet.

Don’t waste a bunch of time making this pick, just take the Titans to win and cover the spread, which really isn’t as high as I thought it would be.
