NFC Wildcard Betting Lock Alert Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings

The Philadelphia Eagles (9-6-1 SU, 10-6 ATS, 7-8-1 O/U) and Minnesota Vikings, (10-6 SU, 6-10 ATS, 9-7 O/U) both reached the postseason on the final day of the regular season. However, it is the Eagles that are firing on all cylinders after routing the Dallas Cowboys 44-6 in Week 17 to easily cover the spread for BetUS NFL sports betting backers as a 2.5-point home favorite in the BetUS Sportsbook.

Veteran quarterback Donovan McNabb completed 12 of 21 passes for 175 yards with a pair of touchdown passed and a TD run for Philadelphia while running back Correll Buckhalter rushed for 63 yards on 10 carries with a touchdown reception in the win.

“A lot of people counted us out and said it was over,” McNabb said. “We continued to stay focused on what the plan was. We knew we had to come out and play a tough team that was hungry, just like we were. Today was a total team effort. Things worked out well and we’re playing next week.”

“It’s an exciting time for us right now, but we can’t sit and dwell on this for a long time,” McNabb added. “We know we have a tough team ahead of us, a tough task.”

The Vikings narrowly defeated the New York Giants 20-19 as a 7-point favorite in Week 17 despite going against their opponent’s second-stringers in the second half. Quarterback Tavaris Jackson completed 16 of 26 passes for 239 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the win. Elusive running back Adrian Peterson rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.

“They had to earn it, as it should be, and that makes it that much sweeter,” coach Brad Childress said.

“I think this game’s going to build character and give us something to reflect back on,” defensive end Jared Allen said.

NFL Odds

Philadelphia Eagles -3 -120
Minnesota Vikings +3 +105

Over 37½ -110
Under 37½ -110

Analysis: The Philadelphia Eagles may be playing on the road in this contest, Bu I say they get the road victory in Minnesota as they are clearly the better team in this matchup.

I am fully expecting Philadelphia defensive coordinator Jim Johnson to have Vikings shaky quarterback Tavaris Jackson quaking in his cleats by halftime.

Take the Eagles to win outright in a matchup I don’t even think is close.
