UFC 93 Lines and Picks

UFC 93 is just a few days away and sports betting fans have to be licking their fight betting chops in anticipation for the brawling that should ensue in Dublin, Ireland.

The online betting odds haven’t changed that much in the main event, Rich Franklin versus Dan Henderson, but in the prelim bout, some BetUS online sportsbook betting fans are calling it the co-main event, the online odds have changed somewhat.

BetUS online sportsbook fight fans are all over Mauricio Rua, the former number one ranked light-heavyweight UFC fighter in the world, to take revenge on Mark Coleman.

How much money has rolled into Rua in the past week? There’s no way to tell because the BetUS odds makers opened the line at Rua – 400 and Rua – 400 is where it has stayed.

But that is a sign that online betting fans are chilly on Mark Coleman. At + 250 in the BetUS online sportsbook, fight fans should be all over Coleman if they thought he had any shot at all in this bout. promo/ufcThat’s the paradox – – because the line hasn’t changed, online betting fans are signaling that Rua is a shoe-in.

I’ll have a write up on Wednesday regarding the Rua vs. Coleman fight. In the mean time, online wagering fans should take another look at the other fights on the card. Mainly, the earlier bouts that could put some profit into the pockets of BetUS fans before the Rua vs. Coleman and Henderson vs. Franklin bouts.

Alan Belcher +210 vs. Dennis Kang –325 – – The UFC online betting odds has Kang as a heavy favorite. Belcher doesn’t have much chance in this fight and even though I hate laying 3.25 to 1 in this bout, I can’t side with Belcher. I’m most likely going Kang. Kang is the much better fighter and if there’s one thing I’ve learned from watching UFC and MMA it’s that every single fighter who enter the ring or the octagon has heart. To me, Kang should dominate this fight. Whether or not he’s worth an online bet at those odds is another story.

Marcus Davis –140 vs. Chris Lytle +100 – – The online wagering odds haven’t changed since the BetUS odds makers set the line in this bout. Davis is a good fighter, but Marcus Davis, the Irish Hand Grenade, will be fighting in front of a raucous crowd. He’s going to get the fans behind him in Dublin, that’s for sure, so I don’t think Lytle will have any advantage even though he is more experienced. Davis has a 20 and 5 record. That makes him very dangerous to begin with. With thousands of screaming Irish backing him up in this fight, he becomes even more dangerous. I see this as the online bet of the night for now because giving laying 1.4 to 1 is just more advantageous to me in the long run then laying 3.25 to 1. Davis has a tougher task than Kang but he’s got a good shot. I’m betting Davis to beat Lytle in this bout.
