UFC 95 Preview – Only a Week Away

UFC 95 is a week away. It’s time for BetUS online sportsbook fans to take a hard look at the venue, the date, and the potential winners, before really digging in deep next week.

UFC betting has become very serious for many gamblers. The reason is that long shots more often than not have a shot in the Octagon.

Let’s take a look at UFC 95!

UFC 95
Date: 2/21/2009
Location: London, England
Venue: O2 Arena
Card: Ten Fights

UFC 95 is about a week away! promo/ufcIt’s time for fight fans to start getting excited as UFC 95 promises to be just as fantastic as the last UFC event that pitted B.J. Penn vs. Georgest St. Pierre!

The smaller men take the ring again for the main event as Joe Stevenson and Diego Sanchez battle it out for supremacy in the 155 lb weight class! Sanchez, a -300 favorite in the sportsbook, is one of the top fighters in UFC and no doubt he will be looking to absolutely dominate Stevenson who is a +220 underdog!

The co-main event on the card pits Dan Hardy, with that crazy red mohawk hairstyle, versus Dan Markham. Markham is listed as a slight underdog at +105. Can he flatten Hardy’s hair and possibly put Hardy onto his back? It won’t be easy because the -135 Hardy hails from Nottingham, UK! The Brit fans are going to get loopy when they see their home town boy take to the Octagon!

The fans in London might go just as crazy when Nate Marquardt, the -300 favorite to take down long shot Wilson Guoveia, steps onto the mat. With a record of 30-8-2, what fight fan doesn’t know Marquardt who was sensational in knocking out Martin Kampmann in September of 2008. Marquardt recently shaved his head. That might have nothing to do with his fighting ability but it sure does make him look mean! If his meanness translates to a knock-out, then nobody will mistake Marquardt for Sampson!

The 10-0 Demian Maia is a -300 favorite to beat old pro Chael Sonnen in another under card bout that should have fight fans screaming for blood! Sonnen, who has been around long enough to know how to take the fight to a youngster, will be a huge test for Maia who was last season beating up on Nate Quarry at UFC 91. Can Maia keep the streak alive and show the fighting world that he’s the Brazilian fighter to keep an eye on?

UFC 95 is a week away! It’s time to get ready for the fights!
