So which names should be target this year? Is there any sleeper gold? Let’s take a look.

1. Rob Gronkowski NE

Absolutely zero question here despite the fact that Tom Brady will miss some time to start the season. Gronk had 82 catches for 1,124 yards and 12 TDs last year – he was a monster and should be again this year.

2. Jimmy Graham SEA

Ooooh! Graham should have quite a time catching passes from Russell Wilson! Arguably the most talented overall Tight End in the league caught 86 passed for 1,215 yards and 16 scored in 2013 but fell off last year to 889 yards and 10 TDs. Seattle is a run-first team which hurts but the ceiling for Graham, especially with the amount of red zone looks he is in line for make him an easy #2.

3. Greg Olsen CAR

The dropoff after the first two TEs is pretty dramatic but you can’t really go wrong with Greg Olsen who caught 84 balls last year for 1008 yards. He seems to be good for 800-1000 yards year-in and year-out. He has the trust of Cam Newton and is the second best receiving option for the Panthers – easily.

4. Travis Kelce KC

Kelce is a sexy sleeper pick this year and a candidate for a huge breakout season. His main competition for grabs Anthony Fasano is gone which means it is time for the freak athlete to show his stuff. His size (6’5” and 260 pounds), his athleticism and speed make Kelce KC’s best receiving option on the team. 800 yards and 6-8 TDs is not out of the question.

5. Martellus Bennett CHI

Had 90 grabs for 916 yards and 6 TDs last year and could easily eclipse those numbers this year, especially since Brandon Marshall left town. New OC Adam Gase leans heavily on the Tight Ends which give Bennett a pretty high ceiling. That said Bennett’s success is dependent on Jay Cutler – good luck with that!

6. Julius Thomas JAC

Heads to Jacksonville armed with a healthy contract. He immediately becomes Jacksonville’s best receiving option. He’s an absolute elite athlete but must hope that Blake Bortles can get him the ball. Thomas will be targeted a ton and could easily hit the 70 catch, 800 yards, 6 TD plateau this year.

7. Jason Witten DAL

His targets diminished last year but Witten still finished top 10 among TEs. DeMarco Murray is gone which could mean more red zone targets for Witten in 2015. 70 catches, 800 yards and 6-8 TDs seems likely with a chance to eclipse that. Witten is still as reliable as they come in terms of Fantasy – just don’t expect elite numbers from this guy!

8. Zach Ertz PHI

Caught 58 passes last year for 702 yards and seems poised to easily eclipse those numbers this year – his 15 catch, 115 yard effort in Week 16 last year has Ertz on many people’s radar.

[dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

I’m not saying that Zach Ertz is ready to become a game changing stud but I do have faith that he can go for 60 catches, 750 yards and 6-7 TDs this year.

9. Dwayne Allen IND

Allen is at #9 assuming he stays health and on the field for one of the one or two most explosive offenses in the game. Coby Fleener is also there to take some of his action. But there is no denying the talent, speed and his obvious red-zone prowess.

10. Delanie Walker TEN

Had 890 yards receiving last year and may be the best receiving option on a sketchy team. Marcus Mariota may lean on his reliable Tight End a lot this year making Walker a top 10 Tight End option.
