Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies
Play: 1 Unit Total 8 un+100

The Phillies may have picked up their second straight victory, but the offensive numbers still aren’t there. Philadelphia has scored just 17 runs over their last six games. They’ll have to contend with rookie Rubby De La Rosa of the Dodgers on Tuesday night. De La Rosa has thrown five big league innings giving up just one earned run and three hits. He went 2-2 with a 2.93 ERA in eight starts at Double-A Chattanooga before being promoted on May 24th. The Phillies have gone Under the total in three of their last five games. The Los Angeles bullpen has an ERA below 3.50 on the road this season and they figure to be called upon with De La Rosa most likely on some sort of pitch count. Roy Oswalt has been snake bitten as of late. The righty is 0-2 with a 2.00 ERA giving up just 5 runs over his last 18 innings of work. Oswalt has made nine starts, but he only has three victories. The Phillies’ starter faced Los Angeles twice last season giving up just six hits and no earned runs in 13.3 innings of work. Oswalt is 8-2 with a 2.76 ERA in 11 starts against the Dodgers in his career. Rod Barajas (6-24), Jamey Carroll (2-8), Aaron Miles (3-17), Andre Ethier (3-17), James Loney (3-15), Matt Kemp (0-8) and Tony Gwynn (2-11) all struggle with Oswalt. The Phillies’ bullpen has blown only one save this season and they have an ERA under 3.00 as a unit. – [soliloquy id=”82219″]
