In the NFC, the New Orleans Saints dodged a huge bullet in Week 13 while the Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles put on stellar performances that moved each team into a closer position to possibly challenge New Orleans should they meet in the playoffs.

It’s not the sports betting event of the year but no one can deny that Army/Navy is a fun rivalry in college football. I recent years, it’s been a track meet for Navy. Can Army, once again an underdog, pull off a shocker this time around?
Thursday, December 10th
Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, OH – 8:20 PM ET
NFL Point Spread: Steelers -10, O/U: 36
Amazingly enough, the Cleveland Browns had a better week than the defending (not-for-long) Super Bowl champions. No, Cleveland didn’t win a game (let’s be reasonable here!), but the Browns played San Diego gallantly before bowing to the Chargers, 30-23.
The sixth week of 2009-10 NBA regular season saw the league’s elite title contenders move back to the top of the pecking order in my weekly NBA Power Rankings while many of the upstart title contenders in each conference fell back a bit to rankings more befitting of their contender status.

The biggest bowl of them all, the BCS National Championship Game, pits the newly No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide against the newly No. 2 Texas Longhorns on Jan. 7 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena (8:10 pm ET, ABC).
Sports betting fans have a legitimately exciting Monday Nighter to watch for the third consecutive week as playoff contenders from both conferences meet at Lambeau Field. Many NFL pundits have dubbed the Ravens “The defense of the decade” but that aging group has a major test against Mr. Rodgers tonight.

All I really want to ask though is anything really FAIR when it comes to the BCS?
And this folks is why College basketball is better than college football. The gap between Texas and TCU was too great. Throw in the fact that Texas played a much harder schedule than TCU and they’re spot in the championship game is well deserved.
Monday Night’s game between the Green Bay Packers and the Baltimore Ravens has deep playoff implications for both teams. The Packers hold a wild card playoff spot but that could change with a loss Monday night, the Ravens are currently on the outside looking in but a win will push them to 7-5 and give them more control in the playoff race as their remaining opponents hold a combine .400 win percentage.
If you take a look at the Baltimore Ravens stats, you wouldn’t think that much has changed from last year’s daunting defense. While they are still the third best scoring defense, there has been a noticeable diminishing.
For example: Last week on Sunday night football, the Pittsburgh Steelers, who lost to Oakland this week with starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the lineup, nearly won on the road in Baltimore with third string starter Dennis Dixon.
