Week 14 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire

Week 14 NFL waiver wire plus fantasy football lineup tips to help decide who to start or bench on your fantasy football team…

WAIVER WIRE WEEK 14

This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. Dave B scours the free agent pools in fantasy land for the best available talent every week. Availability, of course, depends on the league. We’re using 12 team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median, but we’ll look for roster candidates for leagues of all shapes and sizes.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our cheatsheets, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

If you are not into your Fantasy playoffs yet, this is the week when if you lose, you go home. If you are having to pick one of these guys up in order to help you win a Fantasy title, I’m sorry. However, if it’s depth that you want, take a look, there might be some diamonds in the rough. Good Luck in your Fantasy playoffs!

QB’S

Chad Henne – Miami – Has Chad finally turned a corner? Maybe his receivers finally woke up and gave him some support. Either way, Henne looks to be a solid NFL starter. 335 yards against the Patriots could represent an awakening. Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Houston are coming up for the Dolphins – he could make a Fantasy splash by season’s end.

Bruce Gradkowski – Oakland – 308 yards and 3 tds. against a very tough Pittsburgh Defense is enough of an excuse to look at Bruce. He might not win you a Fantasy title, but he has proven that he won’t lose you one either. Not unlike Henne, Gradkowski might have turned a corner and could become a viable QB2 against Washington, Denver and Cleveland going forward.

Other to Monitor: Rex Grossman – Houston – Matt Schaub has a separated shoulder

Brady Quinn – Cleveland – nevermind!

RB’S

Correll Buckhalter – Denver – Both of the Running Backs for Denver had big games ins Week 13 and that seems to be the Broncos recipe for success. Denver should keep running the ball and if they do, Buckhalter figures to see 12-15 touches.

Jerome Harrison – Cleveland – On a bad team and still gained 97 combined yards and scored 2 tds. He’s worth a look!

WR’S

Devin Thomas -Washington – It appears that the Redskins coaching staff has finally figured out that Santana Moss is not the answer in Washington. Jason Campbell appears to be looking to Thomas more and more often as demonstrated by Week 13’s 7 catch, 100 yard, 2 td. performance. Thomas is on a roll and has 14 catches is his last 3 games.

Louis Murphy – Oakland – Oakland is in desperate need of a Wide Receiver to stand up and become THE MAN. Murphy did just that in Week 13 with a 4 catch, 128 yard, 2 td. effort. QB Bruce Gradkowski is gaining confidence and if Murphy makes Gradkowski look good, you can bet that Bruce will try to return the favor.Sports Betting at Sportsbook.com

Antonio Bryant – Tampa Bay – It’s official – Bryant is back and looking to make fools of all his doubters. Bryant entered the season as a viable WR2, but suffered injuries from the get go. Now healthy, Bryant is demonstrating the ability that made so many people so high on him.

Davone Bess – Miami – 10 catches, 117 yards and 1 td. in Week 13 – need I say more?

Others to monitor: Zach Miller – Jacksonville : Pierre Garcon – Indianapolis (obvious)

TE’S

Fred Davis – Washington – Has scored in his last 2 games, and has become a reliable target for Jason Campbell. He’s looking good and is bordering on every-week starter status.

Anthony Fasano – Miami – Has 5 catches in each of hi last 2 games. 74 and 67 yards respectively in those games. If you are stuck at Tight End, you could do far worse.

Defense

Tennessee Titans – The Titans are playing the Rams this week, roll the dice that they return to form. One thing I know for sure – Finnegan will lock down any WR on the Rams giving Boller no-one to throw to except Jackson out of the backfield.
