Week 6 NFL Totals Betting Analysis

NFL Week 6 Totals Analysis

With the Denver-San Diego game going over on Monday night there was a perfect balance in the totals betting with seven games staying under and seven games going over. The biggest shocker had to be Philadelphia@ Oakland which had a total of 40.5 and there only 22 combined points as the Eagles were held to three field goals. The next had to be the Saints pinning 48 points on the Giants’ #1 defense in a game where the total was 48.

While the topsy-turvy week certainly didn’t go as planned, BetUS NFL betting members will have an even better grasp on what to expect in Week 7 with this recap of all the Week 6 contests – and look ahead at this coming week’s NFL action.

Week 8 CFB Power Rankings

College Football Rankings Week 8

This past Saturday we weren’t disappointed by College Football. There were several great games along with a few surprising outcomes.

Arkansas almost upset Florida in what would have been the surprise of the year, Sam Bradford re-injured his shoulder, Notre Dame fell short again in a winnable game and the Buckeyes looked as bad as they have all season.

Ask the Washington Huskies.

With 13 seconds to play in a tie game with Arizona State, the Huskies allowed not one but two Sun Devil receivers to get behind their defensive backs deep. Arizona State quarterback Danny Sullivan simply dropped back and heaved a 50-yard winning touchdown pass to a wide-open Chris McGaha.

Week 6 NFL Fantasy Football Studs + Duds

WEEK 6 STUDS AND DUDS

Each week, the CappersPicks.com fantasy football guru Dave B brings you players you need to be paying attention to – Remember – fantasy football championships are often won by those who live eat and breath fantasy football.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, cheatsheets, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide. Without wasting any more of your time, here are the Week 6 Fantasy Football Studs & Duds plus key player stats for the NFL games that went on on this week (Week 6).

FANTASY FOOTBALLERS!! Looking to bet on Monday Night Football? We’ve got The Winner! Click Here!!!

WEEK 6 STUDS AND DUDS

Whew – another Week is over and we sure saw our share of offense. We also saw our share of poor showings – Lots of Studs and lots of Duds this week in the NFL. Apologies to Aaron Rogers, Joe Flacco, Brett Favre, Steve Slaton, Andre Johnson, Heath Miller and Visanthe Shiancoe for not making it on the Stud list – but you all were Studs too. Without further adieu, here are your Week 6 Studs and Duds.

Stud of the Week

Tom Brady – New England – 345 yards and 5 tds. at halftime????? Nuts! Tom, you are such a Stud, why don’t you take almost the whole 2nd ½ off. 380 yards and 6 tds. – You’ve done your job!!

Dud of the Week

Kerry Collins – Tennessee – WOW!!! Honestly???? 2 of 12 for -7 yards? That’s minus 7 yards folks. Could be the Dud performance of the decade. I was on that stood up for Kerry but after the Week 6 showing, I got nothing.

Other Studs

Drew Brees -New Orleans – Ahhhh, welcome back to the Stud Column Drew!! 23/30 for 369 yards and 4 touchdowns is more like what the Fantasy World has come to expect. Against a top tier Defense, Brees showed why he was the #1 QB taken in Fantasy drafts.

Matt Schuab – Houston – Huge effort against a tough Cincinnati Defense. 28/40 for 392 yards and 4 tds. is Studworthy for sure. Schuab has become must-start material and if he can stay healthy, he will undoubtedly become a Top 5 QB by season’s end.

Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh23/35 for 417 yards and 2 tds. – Insane. Isn’t Pittsburgh supposed to be a running team? Well, with a Stud like Ben, there is no need to be anymore.

Maurice Jones-Drew – Jacksonville – What a week for MJD! 178 combined yards and 3 tds. on the day – this after complaining about the play calling on his team. The formula is simple for the Jaguars – GIVE JONES-DREW THE DAMN BALL!

DeAngelo Williams – Carolina – 172 combined yards and 2 tds. in week 6 has Williams on the Stud list for the 1st time this year. It appears as though the Panthers have their running mojo back and with an ineffective Delhomme, they are gonna need it.

Thomas Jones – NY Jets – 22 carries for a club record 210 yards on a day that your QB threw 5 picks. Too bad that the effort was wasted. Insane numbers for TJ.

Ray Rice – Baltimore – Has definitely done enough to render Willis McGahee Fantasy irrelevant. 10 carries for 77 yards and 2 tds. combined with 10 catches for 117 yards makes Rice the runner up for Stud of the Week. The dude can play!!

Marques Colton – New Orleans – The bye week was obviously good to the Saints. After a few underwhelming efforts, the Saints passing game came to life in Week 6. Colton had 8 catches, 166 yards and 1 td. – Stud!

Hines Ward – Pittsburgh – Another player that is benefiting from a Hot QB. Ward was a monster against the Lions, grabbing 8 balls for 159 yards and a td. How could you not love this guy?

New England Wrs – Wes Welker and Randy Moss combined for 18 catches 279 yards and 5 tds. In Week 6. Crazy Numbers – 2 absolute studs!!!

Sidney Rice – Minnesota – Any questions about who Favre’s favorite receiver is? 176 yards on 6 catches should answer those questions. Rice keeps producing under the radar and in turn, is becoming a true Stud.

Owen Daniels – Houston – 7 catches for 78 yards and 2tds. for a tight end is nuts. It was a monster effort in an offense that is plain scary right now.

Zach Miller – Oakland – You won’t find too many Raiders on this list – EVER!!! 6 catches 139 yards and a td. in the Week 6 – not too shabby at all.

Other Duds

Seattle’s whole damn team – Important divisional matchup and That’s what you come up with? 112 yards passing and 14 yards rushing? ALL DUDS!!!

Jake Delhomme – Carolina – 65 yards passing and 2 interceptions against the NFL’s worst Defense should make you Dud of the Week. Delhomme is awful. How bad do you feel for Steve Smith?

Eli Manning – NY Giants – Battle of the unbeatens turned out to be a Dud and Eli didn’t show up. 14/31 for only 178 yards 1td. and an int. on Sunday. A bit of a Dud performance from a dude who’s not a Dud.

Jason Campbell – Washington – You know that you are a Dud when 37 year old Todd Collins replaces you! 89 yards on 9/16 passing against a terrible Chiefs Defense are not gonna get it done.

Mark Sanchez – NY Jets – 10 of 29 for 119 yards and 5 interceptions against the Bills at home – DUD!

Willis McGahee – Baltimore – 7 rushes, 3 yards! After such a promising start of the season, McGahee seems to be fading off into the sunset. Add in the fact that Ray Rice is on FIRE, and there is only one conclusion McGahee is a Dud.

Brandon Jacobs -NY Giants – The whole Giants team seemed to have visited Dudville during the week. Jacobs was held to just 33 yards on Sunday and is worthy of his Dud title. Ahmad Bradshaw seems like the better back right now and if Jacobs doesn’t show something in the next few weeks, his starting job could be in danger.

Steve Smith – Carolina – 1 catch, 4 yards!!! I know that it is not all his fault (Delhomme is a pooch), but a goose-egg is unacceptable. Smith is quickly slipping out of the elite and its truly a shame.

Steve Smith – NY Giants – Wow, both Steve Smiths on the Dud list!! Expectations were high going into the game – Smith has been getting it done all year. 4 catches for 44 yards is as bad a game as Smith is gonna have this year. Instead of giving him a mulligan, Smith had to end up on the Dud list.

Santana Moss – Washington – Although his 1 catch went for 42 yards, the fact that Moss was unable to get free from a horrible Chiefs Defense is alarming. As we all know, Moss might end up on the Stud list next week, but this week, he’s definitely a Dud.

Terrell Owens – Buffalo – 3 catches 13 yards! That’s right folks, TO is a Dud.
