This Saturday will be the 135^th running of the Kentucky Derby from Churchill Downs in Louisville. Horse racing’s premier event is for three-year-old thoroughbreds. This is the first leg in horse racing’s fabled Triple Crown with the Preakness and Belmont to follow. The Derby has one of the largest fields of any major race with as many as 19 horses scheduled to make the “Run for the Roses.”
