NFL: NFC SHOWDOWN FEATURES PRIMETIME PROP

Sportsbook.com’s Primetime Prop for Sunday night’s game between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers is just one of many reasons to tune in.

Wager on the “Player to Score 1st TD” prop for the Panthers @ Giants. If your selection scores the game’s first touchdown and proceeds to rush OR receive for at least 100 yards in the game, winning wagers will be doubled up to $100.00 for this specific prop.

This exact Primetime Prophit twice in Week 7 when Tampa Bay receiver Antonio Bryant scored the first touchdown of the game against Seattle and then went over the 100 yard receiving mark (115). New England running back Sammy Morris also scored the first touchdown of their win over Denver and then finished with over 100 rushing yards (138).

The Primetime Prop has hit an incredible nine times on the year so isn’t time you got in on the action?

And while this prop is sure to bring a lot of paydays to our members, don’t forget about the significance of the game itself.

Both teams are 11-3 and the winner will wrap up home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. The Giants have the edge according to the oddsmakers as three-point favoritesbut the betting public is suggesting otherwise with 54% backing the underdogs.

A big reason for the public rationale is how each team has fared the last couple of weeks. The Giants were 11-1 straight-up and 10-2 ATS before getting soundly beat at home by the Philadelphia Eagles and then losing last week at the Dallas Cowboys, 20-8.

Carolina conversely, has taken control of the NFC South by beating Tampa Bay at home on Monday Night Football, 38-23. They followed it up last week with a home win over Denver, 30-10, which many felt would be a letdown game for them.

The key for the Panthers has been getting the run game going to a new level. Against Tampa Bay, they rushed for 299 yards against one of the better run defenses in the NFL. They then ran for 147 more against Denver with their talented tandem of DeAngelo Williams and rookie Jonathan Stewart.

Carolina should have some success running this week, but they are also going to need help from Jake Delhomme and the passing game. Delhomme can be streaky, but he’s been much more effective with the football the last three weeks with a 68.2% completion percentage compared to 58.9% on the year.

New York needs to get back to what they do best, run the ball. Eli Manning is more effective with play-action after a bruising run from Brandon Jacobs. Jacobs (knee) is expected to play after missing the Dallas game.

The Giants are really starting to miss receiver Plaxico Burress, while Carolina’s Steve Smith has four consecutive 100 plus yard receiving games, making him a great candidate for this week’s Primetime Prop.
