NFL Week 6: Are you ready for some drama?

Week 6 of the NFL season promises plenty of (melo)drama – on and off the field.

In a week that features the return of bad guy Ben Roethlisberger, the continuing saga of Brett Favre’s text troubles, and the seemingly impossible quest for a first win by the San Francisco 49ers, there will be plenty of action on Sunday.

On the field, one of the more intriguing matchups has the Baltimore Ravens taking on Tom Brady and the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium (1 pm ET, CBS).

The Patriots are 2.5-point, -140 moneyline favorites and the over/under total is 45 in NFL Week 6 Odds at betED.com.

New England has dominated the head-to-head series, going 6-1 SU and 4-2-1 ATS in the past seven, but when the teams met twice last season – once in the regular season, once in the playoffs – the Ravens came out on top in the game that really mattered most: New England won 27-21 on Oct. 4, while Baltimore upset the Patriots 33-14 in the AFC Wild Card game Jan. 10. betED

Baltimore (4-1 SU, 3-2 ATS) has won three straight and New England (3-1 SU, 2-2 ATS) has won two straight.

Roethlisberger returns Sunday when the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers meet at Heinz Field (1 pm ET, CBS), after serving a four-game suspension for more of his off-field “issues.”

NFL Lines have the Steelers as 13-point favorites and the over/under total at 37.5.

The Steelers have dominated their AFC North division rival over the past 10 head-to-head, going 9-1 SU, although Pittsburgh has had trouble covering the point spread as they are 5-4-1 ATS in the past 10.

Also Sunday, two teams that would probably like do-overs as they head into just their 5th game of the season – the Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings – meet at the Metrodome (4:15 pm ET, FOX).

The Vikings are a 2-point favorite and the total is 44.5.

And the 49ers are 6.5-point, -270 moneyline favorites in NFL Betting to pick up their first win against the visiting Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
