NBA News: Blake Griffin’s season over before it starts
Poor, poor Clippers. Even when they get the first overall pick, something has to go wrong. Blake Griffin did his best Greg Oden impression and fractured his knee cap in his final preseason game back in October.
He was expected to make his regular-season debut this month but a recent examination of the knee showed it wasn’t properly healing.
The Clippers thus announced yesterday that Griffin would have season-ending surgery.
We can understand Oden going down – the face of a 42-year-old man must have the knees of a 42-year-old man – but no one saw Griffin’s heartbreak coming.
