The Thunder are on a mission to climb to a level in the West commensurate with their talent.
They should win this one with ease.
Minnesota
When you are as bad as Minnesota is you are looking for any measure of success so yesterday’s game against red hot Atlanta was not as bad as it seems.

The T-Wolves lost by 12 but they covered the the spread, the only time that has happened in during the Hawks long winning streak.
Now the fact that the spread was 17 points says a lot about the quality of the team but again, a result like that, on the road, can be considered encouraging…and yes that might be grasping.
Minnesota struggles to score but they put up an even 100 points against Atlanta. Forward Thaddeus Young led with 26 points and the team needs more out of him if they are going to start improving. It is a little bit mysterious actually because he should be plenty familiar with what it is like to play on bad teams from his time in Philadelphia.

Oklahoma City
After beginning their road trip with three straight wins the Thunder have lost their last two at Atlanta and Cleveland yesterday. The last time they were at home they bested the best team in the league, Golden State, and certainly they could not ask for a better opponent to get back to their winning ways.
The last couple of losses are not that bad when you consider that nobody is beating Atlanta these days and LeBron seems to have Cleveland pointed back in the right direction, for now.
Even in the loss to the Cavs it was the same old story for OKC. Kevin Durant scores a lot (32 points), Russell Westbrook a little less (22 points) and then after that who knows.
Serge Ibaka and Dion Waiters scored in the teens but overall this team is lacking a go to option and a three point threat that makes punishes teams if they pay the stars too much attention.

Those guys just can’t take all the shots.
