Pride on the Line as Brazil Meets Netherlands for Third Place
Although this is the weekend game that no team wants to be in, the third place match of World Cup 2014 is set with the host Brazilians looking to dim the memory of the worst international thrashing of their long history and the Netherlands trying to regain a little form that saw them storm out of the gate as fast as any team in the tournament.
NASCAR’s Sprint Cup series will be in Loudon, NH. this week for the running of this year’s Camping World RV Sales 301. The green flag for Sunday’s race is set to wave at 1 p.m. and it will be broadcast nationally on TNT.

People keep calling this league the former Big East but in reality it is more like the former Conference USA with another group of teams joining from that conference this season. Last year UCF upset Louisville’s bid to earn the inaugural league title on their way out and they represented well in dumping Baylor in a BCS bowl.

Gary Andersen’s first year in the Big Ten went pretty well, though expectations in Madison have been awfully high so not everyone was happy with a 9-4 season. Wisconsin lost in heartbreaking (and frankly just downright disgustingly cruel) fashion to Arizona State thanks to a referee screw up.
If you ever doubted Mark Dantonio before, you definitely shouldn’t anymore. Dantonio has done an amazing job at Michigan State. Keep in mind this was a program in disarray when he arrived. John L. Smith had driven them in the ground with back to back ugly seasons before Dantonio totally righted the ship.
