Steelers vs. Bengals Week 7 Spread

Point spread for the week 7 NFL clash between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals plus the betting spreads, and betting trends for nfl football gambling.

NFL Week 7 Betting Trends – Steelers vs. Bengals

The Pittsburgh Steelers finally get to play a game on a Sunday afternoon. How crazy has the Steelers’ schedule been so far? They’ve played on Sunday night twice and then they had that Monday nighter against the Baltimore Ravens just a couple of weeks ago. The Steelers haven’t played on a Sunday afternoon since their first game of the season. It will be nice to see the Steelers in the morning here on the West Coast.

One of the reasons is because this is one of the best online betting teams in the NFL right now. The Steelers have been terrific against the online wagering spread. They didn’t cover versus the Cleveland Browns in week two, but they did cover versus the Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars recently.

The Cincinnati Bengals are just a terrible team. They played a spirited game two Sundays ago in Dallas, but that had more to do with the fact that the Cowboys are overrated than the fact that the Bengals are even close to respectable. Keith Rivers is a terrific linebacker but he can’t dominate a game. No single player can in the NFL any more.

Against the BetUS online betting spread, as expected, the Bengals haven’t been that great. One thing NFL betting fans should note, though, is that the Bengals can beat an online wagering spread when they are big underdogs. They did so versus the New York Giants and they do so versus the Dallas Cowboys.

Here are the BetUS online sportsbook betting odds for this game.

Kick-off: 10/19/2008 1:00 pm est.

Pittsburgh Steelers – 10 – 110 – 500 O 35 ½ – 110
Cincinnati Bengals + 10 – 110 + 400 U 35 ½ – 110

Here are a few online wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 1 and 4 in their last 5 games versus a rival from the AFC North.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are 4 and 1 against the spread in the last 5 meetings between these two teams.
The Cincinnati Bengals are 2 and 5 against the spread in their last 7 home games.
The Road team is 6 and 1 against the spread in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.

Every trend points to the Pittsburgh Steelers covering the BetUS online wagering spread in this game. But I can’t do it. I just can’t give up 10 points to the Steelers on the road.

I understand that Pittsburgh has been a solid team for NFL betting fans since the season started, but there’s something about this game that doesn’t feel right. The Bengals are still a professional football team. Sure, they’re awful, but they have enough on offense to put up a lot of points and the Steelers are hurting at the running back position.

NFL Week 7 Prediction:

I’m going to go against the trends in this one and put an online wager on the Cincinnati Bengals at + 10.
