Jets vs. Patriots Thursday Night Football Spread

Point spread for the week 11 Thursday Night Football NFL clash between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots plus the betting spreads, and betting trends for nfl football gambling…

NFL Week 11 Betting – New York Jets vs. New England Patriots

The New York Jets travel to New England to take on the Patriots in the second game of their rivalry. In the first game, the Patriots pulled out a victory over the Jets who, for some reason, can’t seem to put together more than two good games. Sports betting fans should note that the Patriots are a solid team, better than they were when they faced the Jets the first time, so the chances of the Jets actually coming out and winning this game probably aren’t that good.

For online sportsbook betting fans, the Jets have been a bit of a mystery this season. They are 6 and 3 straight-up and 5 and 4 against the BetUS online wagering spread.

The New England Patriots have worked past the injury to Tom Brady to become a solid force in the AFC Conference. Even in a loss to Indianapolis two weeks ago, the Patriots played very, very well. They are a good team that knows how to win.

Here are the BetUS online sportsbook betting odds for this game.

New York Jets + 3 + 105 + 145 O 42 ½ – 110
New England Patriots – 3 – 125 – 165 U 42 ½ – 110

Here are a few online wagering trends that might help us find a good online bet in this game.

The New York Jets are 4 and 1 against the spread in their last 5 games versus a team from the AFC East.
The New York Jets are 8-3-1 against the spread in their last 12 games versus the Patriots in New England.
The New England Patriots are 16 and 7 against the spread versus a team with a winning record.
The New England Patriots are 2 and 8 against the spread in their last 10 games at home.
The trends appear to favor the Jets but this New England Patriots team has improved week to week. I really like how Coach Belichick has turned this team into a contender after Tom Brady went down.

Matt Cassel appears more comfortable in the pocket each time the ball is snapped. For online football betting fans, that cannot be discounted. A comfortable quarterback makes all the difference in Belichick’s offensive schemes.

As much as I would like to see Brett Favre and the Jets succeed this season, I just don’t feel that they have what it takes to beat the Patriots or even beat the online wagering spread in this game. The Patriots take care of business when they have to.

NFL Week 11 Prediction:

I’ll be making an online bet on the New England Patriots to cover the 3 points in this game.
