The Canucks are coming off an impressive 4-0 demolition of the Leafs on Saturday night while the Coyotes will be looking to extend their win streak to five. Vancouver has won four of its last five games in Glendale while the Coyotes have won five straight on home ice.
As mentioned the Canucks have enjoyed their recent trips to Arizona gone 4-0-1 in their last five trips. After a 2-1 loss at home against Detroit, the Canucks put it all together Saturday in a 4-0 win against the Leafs outshooting their opponent 47-21 in the game. Daniel Sedin, Zack Kassian, Chris Higgins, and Dan Hamhuis all scored Saturday and Henrik Sedin stretched his career-high point streak to 11.

The Canucks own one of the best lines in the game heading into Thursday night`s showdown. Ryan Kesler, Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin have combined for 14 goals and 18 assists in their last 10 games and will be difficult to stop once again Tuesday. Daniel has struggled in recent meeting with Phoenix however – just one goal in his last 11 against the Coyotes.
Roberto Luongo will be eager to come up with a huge game for Vancouver – he will duel fellow Team Canada hopeful Mike Smith who just may be outplaying Luongo so far this season. Lou is coming off a shutout and has been good at Vancouver`s Number 1 this year.
The Coyotes are going to be tough – they are 6-0-1 in Phoenix and their five straight home wins are the most since a run of seven from Feb. 4-28, 2012. They have more wins on home ice than any other team in the league right now – pretty impressive! [ad-4437448]
Mike Smith has been sensational this year – he leads the League with 388 saves, including 89 stops on 92 shots over the past two games. Smith posted a 1.51 goals-against average in three games against Vancouver last year but was forced to leave the home matchup in March with a head injury.
Offensively is where the Coyotes have improved to the surprise of many. They average a very nice 3.27 goals per game and have been buoyed by the scoring touch of their defense. Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Keith Yandle each have 11 points apiece – 1 behind team leader in that department Radim Vrbata.
The Coyotes are dangerous offensively, in both areas of their special teams and in goal!

Vancouver has been playing well of late – six win in seven games and season-high four in a row on the road – but so have the Coyotes. It should be a good battle of two teams that appear destined to have terrific seasons. That said the Coyotes are due for a letdown and given Vancouver’s recent dominance in the desert, the underdog in this game is difficult to pass up.
