While Montreal has just one win in their last five games, the team is coming off a win, though that may not bode well for them on this night. The team beat Carolina on Tuesday on the back of a stellar performance by star goaltender Carey Price, who turned aside 36 shots for his third shutout of the season. However, the Canadiens haven’t done a good job of stringing wins together of late, losing eight of their last nine games following a win.

Montreal surely enjoys the success they had in that one, but they haven’t gotten that type of goaltending on the road recently. Over their last four road games, the Habs have surrendered 4.5 goals per game.

As for the Bruins, they will be playing their fourth game in six nights on Thursday. The team has won the first three of those game, and they’ve done so with a burst of offense that has them again looking like one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. Boston has recorded 18 goals in its last three games, with 10 different players combining to score those goals.

The team’s top line stepped up in a big way in their last game. Forwards Milan Lucic and David Krejci combined to rack up three goals and two assists on Tuesday in a 6-2 win over Florida. That ups Krejci’s tally to two goals and seven assists over the last six games, with the Bruins posting a 5-0-1 record in those contests.

Playing four games in six nights may mean trouble for some teams, but Bruins head coach Claude Julien can comfortably roll out four lines, and it’s shown on the score sheet – 11 different players recorded a point for the Bruins in Tuesday’s win over the Panthers.

Goaltender Tuukka Rask has struggled against the Canadiens in his career. Over his last 10 starts against them he has posted a 1-8-1 record with a 3.11 GAA.

Both teams bring a stellar goaltender to the party in this one, but the Canadiens’ defense hasn’t travelled well, and that’s going to mean trouble against a Bruins team that has been scoring goals in bunches of late. Montreal knows how to fill the net as well, scoring a combined 10 goals in their last two trips to Boston.

The over is 5-0-2 in Boston’s last seven games against divisional opponents, and 3-0-1 in Montreal’s last four road games.
