The Rangers bring a ton of momentum back to Pittsburgh with them, while the Penguins are looking for answers. The Penguins’ stars are certainly feeling the pressure, and head coach Dan Bylsma must know that his job will soon be on the line.

The Rangers looked like the team with no answers in losing three consecutive games after taking the series opener in overtime. Trailing 3-1, it seemed like a long shot that the Rangers had a chance to stay in the series, but the team rallied to win back-to-back games in dominant fashion to send the series back to Pittsburgh.

Martin St. Louis played a major role in helping to get the Rangers to a Game 7, scoring the team’s first goal in Game 6 on Mother’s Day, just days after the death of his mother. St. Louis is a newcomer to the Rangers’ locker room, but a game like that surely has many in the room looking up to the veteran now.

The Rangers have never rallied all the way back from a 3-1 deficit in franchise history, but they will look to make some history on Tuesday night. The relative poor play of Penguins captain Sidney Crosby has opened the door for the Rangers to make their comeback.

Crosby has scored just one goal in 12 playoff games, and the Penguins’ power play has scored just once in its past 19 opportunities. Crosby is averaging just 0.75 points per game in these playoffs, down from his career average of 1.28.

Henrik Lundqvist hasn’t done him any favors. The Rangers goalkeeper has stopped 67 of the 69 shots he’s faced in the last two games. Lundqvist is now 9-2 with a 1.35 GAA when the Rangers are facing elimination. He is 4-1 in his career in Game 7s. Another strong performance from him will have the Rangers through to the Eastern Conference Final, and just a series win away from his first ever Stanley Cup Final appearance.

The Rangers seem to have figured things out, and Lundqvist is certainly up to the task of slowing a strong Penguin offense. The Rangers are simply made up better than the Penguins for a winner-take-all scenario, as they have the ability to win ugly, and certainly have an edge between the pipes.

The road team is 5-2 in the last seven meetings between these teams, and the Rangers are 4-1 in their last five games played on a Tuesday.

The play: New York +142
