Matchup | Preview

The Nashville Predators owned the league’s best power play during the regular season but they have been stuck in the mud without two of their offensive weapons. The Preds were shut out in Game 4 and couldn’t generate any sustained pressure at all.

Alexander Radulov still leads the team in playoff scoring with six points despite missing two games and his co-suspendee has four points in the playoffs and two points in his last two games.

Pekka Rinne certainly hasn’t been the problem for the Predators-the offense has really let this team down in the last couple of games. Rinne is a superb 1-1-0 with a 0.50 goals against average and .982 save percentage in the last two starts.

The Phoenix Coyotes will be without Rotislav Klesla who was suspended for an a hit on Matt Halischuk in Game 4. He will be missed and has been one of the most dependable defensemen for the Preds.

Extra pressure will be on Mike Smith in this game – but if there is one man that can be counted on it is Mike Smith who recorded his second shutout of the playoffs in Game 4 and has been sensational for the Coyotes in the post season. [ad-4437448]

Offensively, Shane Doan scored the only goal for Phoenix in Game 4 but it was enough. He has three points in three games and Michael Boedker has seven points in eight games. They have led the way for the surprising Coyotes.

The Coyotes offense has made Pekka Rinne look ordinary at times in this series – no easy feat!

Betting Prediction: The road team is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings. This series is by no means over. The Preds will get back two of arguably their best offensive weapons on Monday and those two will certainly have a chip on their shoulders.

Look for the Preds to play their best game of the series Monday night – there is a reason why the Preds finished with the third best record in the West and it should be on full display in Game 5!

Pick: The Nashville Predators +100 to extend the series
