Week 12 Wagering Review

Week Twelve in NFL wagering Sunday is in the books, so let’s get to the highlights! We cover home favorites making good against the spread, as well as look indepth at all the top NFL week 12 games…

Jets Throttle Titans While the New York Giants Continue to Dominate

What another great sports betting week for NFL betting fans in Week 12 of the NFL Regular Season. The Tennessee Titans finally lost a game. It was how they lost that should get football betting fans thinking of their chances in the NFL Playoffs this season.

We’ll start with Tennessee and then go through the rest of the Sunday action!

New York Jets vs. Tennessee Titans – – The Titans were at home. Favored by 4 ½ points, Tennessee never looked like the same team as they had in the previous eleven weeks. In fact they looked downright dreadful. Brett Favre, Thomas Jones and the rest of that New York Jets’ offense dominated the Titans almost from the kick-off on. There wasn’t a question after a while and the Jets beat the Titans by a score of 34 to 13. Tennessee was exposed some in this game. That means online betting fans need to think twice before making an online wager on these guys again.

New York Giants vs. Arizona Cardinals – – Both the Jets and Giants did the city of New York proud on Sunday. The Giants went into Arizona to face the Cardinals whose quarterback, Kurt Warner, had thrown for over 300 yards in four straight games. What happened? The Giants dominated to take their record to 10-1. The G-men easily covered the online betting spread of 3 ½ points. The Cardinals fell to 7 and 4 but are still in charge in the NFC West.

Oakland Raiders vs. Denver Broncos – – The Raiders had no shot going into this game, but somebody forgot to tell them. The Broncos showed that you can’t win in the NFL unless both your offense and defense play well. The Broncos were heavy online sportsbook betting favorites in this – – 8 ½ points, I believe – – but ended up losing straight-up by a score of 31 to 10.

Washington Redskins vs. Seattle Seahawks – – The Seahawks made it interesting by playing straight-up with the Redskins for a while but then talent took over and the Redskins won 20 to 17. Of course, the BetUS online sportsbook betting odds were Redskins – 6 ½. They didn’t cover that spread.

Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons – – In this key NFC South match-up the slight underdog Panthers were supposed to beat the Matt Ryan led Falcons. The Panthers have quietly become one of the better teams in the NFC this season. Not so in this game. The Falcons dominated the Panthers, racking up 45 points, and the Panthers ended up losing the game by a score of 45 to 28. The Falcons easily covered the online betting spread.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Baltimore Ravens – – This had to have been the strangest game of the day as the Eagles were beat-up in more than one way by the Baltimore Ravens. How bad was it? The Eagles benched Donovan McNabb after he threw two picks and fumbled the ball. The Eagles were 1 ½ point underdogs in this game. It didn’t look like it as the Ravens destroyed them 36 to 7.

New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins – – The Pats needed to beat the Dolphins in this game to have any shot at the AFC East title. They did by getting three touchdowns out of Randy Moss. Of course, the online wagering spread was Patriots by about 3 to 3 ½ points. Well, they covered against the scrappy Dolphins winning 48 to 28.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – – The Jags were slight 2 ½ point favorites in this game, but it didn’t matter. Jacksonville is in disarray while the Vikings are starting to heat up. This turned into a no contest after the first quarter with the Vikings winning this easily by a score of 30 to 12.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Detroit Lions – – The heavily favored Bucs sported the Lions 17 point in the first quarter before scoring 21 of their own in the second. What happened? Oh, not much. The Bucs simply covered the BetUS online sportsbook betting spread by beating the Lions 38 to 20.

Indianapolis Colts vs. San Diego Chargers – – Another week and another must win game for the Chargers who are just awful this season. The Chargers were favored by around 3 point sin this game, but ended up losing straight-up, 23 to 20. What a disappointment the Chargers have become this year. For Indianapolis, it’s a sign that better things might be ahead.
