Week 4 NFL Betting: 5 Games’ Football Odds You Have To Bet On

NFL Week 4 “Insider Betting”

Week four of the NFL season kicked off much the same as week three, with a blow out. The New York Giants trounced the Washington Redskins and it looks like I’m going to have to start including Thursday Night Football in this feature as it seems lopsided games are prevalent.

That being said, we’ve got some Sunday games to look at to help you get your bankroll up.

As always keep checking in with Cappers Picks. We’ll be providing 4* free plays on the blog all season long, and check out our EXPERTS for guaranteed premium football plays!

These games’ odds are ones that I think are favourable for bettors, but by no means do you have to blow your bankroll on all five of them. Pick one, pick two, heck pick four if you like, or if you really trust me, take all five. Good luck this week.

Tennessee vs Indianapolis

Week 4 Odds Colts -7.5

Divisional match up in the AFC South this week featuring a pair of teams at 1-2. Indy was the odds on favourite to run away with this division when the season started and I still see it going that way despite a slow start.

The Titans looked like an upstart team that could challenge the Colts in this division after their week one 26-10 victory over the Chiefs. Tennessee has since regressed huge, dropping their last two contests by a combined 42 points. The Colts meanwhile got the train back on track last week, demolishing the Jaguars as expected.

This division is still controlled by Houston, but I expect that all to change before week six and it starts this week when the Colts get back to .500 and start to put some heat on the Texans.

Week 4 NFL Pick: Look for the Colts to continue rolling on offense this week and put a beating on the Titans by a wide margin.

Atlanta vs Minnesota

Week 4 NFL Odds Falcons -3

Wait a second, Atlanta is only favoured by three in this one? A team that just hung up 56 against the Bucs and is coming off an extended rest isn’t really getting much love in this one and that’s why you should be picking them.

The Vikings are much in the same vein as the Titans mentioned above. They shot out of the gate with a big and somewhat impressive victory, only to regress in their next two games.

Minnesota blew out a St. Louis team that is without a QB, but were promptly beaten down by a combined score of 50-18 by New England in week two and New Orleans in week three.

Atlanta boasts a ridiculously dynamic pass attack and a very apt QB in Matt Ryan, who is off to a tremendous start to the season.

Week 4 NFL Pick: The Vikes have not shown any ability to shut down a top level QB, which Matt Ryan is. Three points should be a walk in the park for the Falcons this week.

New Orleans vs Dallas

Week 4 NFL Odds Saints -3

This is another one that sort of baffles me in that the Saints are only getting three points. Sure they are on the road in Dallas, but the Cowboys play in a dome, where the Saints are more than comfortable as they too are a turf team built for speed and big plays.

The Cowboys’ two wins this season both came on the road and their defense was absolutely exposed for the porous unit it is last week in a narrow 34-31 come back win over the hapless Rams.

For fantasy football fanatics, all signs point to go on Drew Brees and Tony Romo this week as I expect this to be an air show. Unfortunately for Romo his team’s defense is going to have him out there playing catch up all game as I don’t see any way that Dallas shuts down Drew Brees and the Saints offense.

Week 4 NFL Pick: I like the Saints to cover the three point margin in this one. They’ve shown that they can score (78 points in three games) and the defense has reduced their number of points allowed each week. Go with New Orleans.

Green Bay vs Chicago

Week 4 NFL Odds Packers -1.5

This one is essentially a pick’em and for me is the most intriguing game of the week. I almost didn’t want to write about it because when I’ve got my credibility on a game it tends to sway how I watch the game.

The NFC North is a fun division to watch this year, and really either of these two has a shot at winning it, along with the Detroit Lions (sorry Vikings fans, maybe next year).

Chicago has responded very well to a gut-wrenching (and surprising) week one OT loss to the Bills and have rattled off a pair of wins against San Fran and the New York Jets.

Green Bay seems to be spinning their tires at the moment and this is a statement game where I think we’ll all find out what team the Packers are. Personally I don’t think Green Bay is a good as they were made out to be before the season started and I think Chicago is quietly a bit better than projected.

Week 4 NFL Pick: Bears at home this week seems like the way to go. Green Bay and Chicago always have wars when they square off but the Packers just haven’t been able to get Eddie Lacy going in the run game, but somehow still seem to be throwing the ball an awful lot. I think a critical turnover from Aaron Rodgers is going to be the difference in this one. Take Chicago.

New England vs Kansas City

Week 4 NFL Odds Patriots -3

You want to keep this Monday Night Football game interesting? Be sure to throw this game on a point spread ticket. The Pats are favoured by a mere three points heading into Kansas City and I think even that may be a bit generous.

[dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

A blow out over the lowly Vikings aside, the Patriots have just not looked like the Patriots this year. They have been out of sync and I’m sure they hurt a lot of people’s tickets last week when they managed to score just 16 points against the Oakland Raiders.

Kansas City looked more like the Chiefs from a year ago last week in handing out a 35-15 beating to the Dolphins in Miami, where the Patriots had already lost this year.

Week 4 NFL Pick: Two wins in a row for the Pats, combined with the fact that I feel they may already be looking to their week five date with the Bengals, who look to be one of the teams to beat in the AFC. A Pats offense that has been anemic for most of the season and a Chiefs team that needs wins to keep pace in the best division in the conference adds up to the Chiefs playing spoiler in this one. Go with KC.
