The Ravens’ personnel moves in the offseason have come under fire in recent weeks, but the team took a big step towards quelling some of those concerns in Week 12 with a 19-3 win over the Jets.

The team’s running game went right back to being stuck in the mud against the Jets, as the team averaged just 2.2 yards per carry on 31 totes, so it was on Joe Flacco to carry the offense.

He responded by completing 17 of 26 passes for 273 yards with a touchdown and an interception, including completions of 66 and 60 yards. Jacoby Jones stepped up in a big way, hauling in four balls for 103 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown reception late in the third quarter that all but put the final nail in the Jets’ coffin.

The team’s defense also stepped up in a big way, limiting the Jets to just 220 yards of offense. They also forced three turnovers, one via a fumble and twice picking off Geno Smith, also getting to him three times for sacks.

The unit held a strong Jets ground game to just 3.6 yards per carry on the day.

Pittsburgh’s improved offensive play has been the key to their turnaround. The Steelers were held under 20 points in five of their first seven games, but have averaged 29.0 point over their last three contests, including 27 in a Week 12 27-11 win over Cleveland.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger continued his stellar play since the team’s bye week, completing 22 of 34 passes for 217 yards and two scores without an interception. Top receiving target Antonio Brown brought in six balls for 92 yards and a score.

The Pittsburgh defense had a solid day, consistently making plays in the Cleveland backfield, recording five sacks and forcing three fumbles, also picking off a pass and returning it for a score.

The unit did have trouble defending Josh Gordon, as he torched them for 237 yards and a score on 14 catches, although much of that came in garbage time.

The Steelers have dramatically turned their season around while the Ravens continue to putter along. Baltimore’s been a different team at home, but Pittsburgh is really streaking right now with three consecutive wins.

Getting a field goal in this matchup is also a big deal, as eight of the last 10 meetings have been decided by three points.

The Steelers are 4-1 ATS in their last five trips to Baltimore.

The play: Pittsburgh +3
