If you haven’t jumped on the Tim Tebow bandwagon, there’s still time as the Denver Broncos head to Kansas City with both team’s looking to get an edge in the race for the AFC West.

Whether you love or hate him, Tebow looks to be Denver’s next franchise player, and will try to win for the third time in four starts this season at Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday.
While Tebow is still learning how to consistently throw accurate passes, he has helped resurrect Denver’s running game, rushing for a career-high 117 yards while fueling a huge comeback, which saw the Broncos score the final 24 points in its 38-24 victory at Oakland last week.
That victory, coupled with losses by San Diego and Kansas City, kept Denver’s dreams to win the AFC West very much alive.
If Tebow can just find a way to hook up more with wide receiver Eric Decker, who is tied for the AFC lead with six touchdown catches, the Broncos could be the team to beat down the stretch.
Mix in a little Willis McGahee, who rushed for 163 of the Broncos’ 299 yards last week and has four 100-yard rushing games this season, and the Broncos could spoil Kansas City’s hopes of catching Oakland who is one-half game ahead of the Chiefs in the standings.
Meanwhile, Kansas City blew their opportunity to take over first place by themselves when their four-game winning streak was snapped in embarrassing fashion at the hands of previously winless Miami, 31-3. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
It is staring to appear that the loss of running back Jamaal Charles to a season-ending knee injury in Week 2, may be more than the Chiefs can bear. Many thought Thomas Jones would simply step in and take over, but that never materialized, and if it weren’t for the heroics of Jackie Battle, who is averaging 76 yards on 17 carries in the last four games, KC could very well find itself without a running game all together.
The Broncos are 15-36 all-time at Arrowhead Stadium, including 4-12 in their last 16.
Kansas City is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games against AFC teams, while the Broncos are 6-13-1 against the spread in their last 20 games overall. However, the road team has covered in four of the last five meetings of these two.
Matt’s Prediction: Broncos 28, Chiefs 21–
