Season Win Totals NFL Predictions – San Diego Chargers 2015 Lines

Chargers Over Under Wins Betting Odds

The San Diego Chargers went 9-7 during the 2014-15 NFL season, which was good enough for a tie with the Kansas City Chiefs for second place in the AFC West Division. Both teams finished behind the Denver Broncos, who are favored to win the division again in 2016.

2015 O/U Win Total Line: 8 Games
San Diego

At this point in the offseason, the Chargers are slotted in between the Oakland Raiders (fourth) and the Kansas City Chiefs (second) when it comes to AFC West Divisional odds (+500). They’re just 12th when it comes to NFC Conference odds (22/1) and 21st when it comes to Super Bowl odds (40/1).

As we get closer to training camp, there are a few things to watch out for when it comes to this organization. For starters, there’s a changing of the guard at running back. Ryan Matthews is gone; Melvin Gordon is in. He had 32 total touchdowns last season with the Wisconsin Badgers, and he has a ton of potential if he can stay healthy in the pros.

This could very well lead to an established ground game for the first time since the departure of LaDanian Tomlinson.

Another question is: How does this team adapt to life without Antonio Gates? Gates has been a focal point of the receiving offense, so it will be interesting to see which guys step up to make up the difference in a post-Gates era.

On defense, look at the front seven. More specifically, this team needs someone to step out as a big-time playmaker.

For instance, Jeremiah Attaochu has a chance to be that big-time playmaker. Melvin Ingram also has a chance to prove he’s worthy of the 18th overall pick that will forever be attached to him, but Attaochu needs to be the guy who stands out and makes multiple plays, forcing the offense to adjust.

One thing you can expect — or at least should expect — is a strong campaign from Philip Rivers. This season will be a contract year for him, and if nothing is locked in ahead of time, he’ll use the campaign to showcase what he can still bring to the table at 33 years old.

2015 San Diego Chargers Season Win Betting Prediction

Bet on Under 8 Games (EVEN)

The Chargers could very well win eight games this season. That’s not an unreasonable number, but with Denver still looking to own the division and Kansas City looking improved, San Diego comes across as a bit of a wild card with as many questions as it has at this point in the process.

Look for this team to push eight wins, with seven being a more realistic number.
