The Browns got Josh Gordon back now as well, so this team is only going to get better and I think they’ll actually win a wild card.

I like this Browns team and what they’ve done with the team. They got rid of Tate for not performing and are now using the two youngsters at RB (Crowell & West), but Hoyer still worries me quite a bit.

Last week Hoyer threw 3 INT’s and 0 TD’s in a 28-24 road win over Atlanta. Now the Falcons aren’t known for their defense, so throwing 3 INT’s against them is bad. The good news for Gordon looked great.

Gordon led the team with 8 receptions for 120 yards in his first game back. The Browns offense averages 22.0 PPG (16th), 249.4 PYPG (12th) and 117.5 RYPG (12th), but I expect those passing numbers to improve.

Adding a WR like Gordon at this time of the season is massive. Don’t expect the world out of him though against the Bills, as Buffalo’s defense only allows 18.8 PPG (5th), 213.8 PYPG (5th) and 98.4 RYPG (8th).

The Bills get to the QB with consistency (46 Sacks) and they force a lot of turnovers (+8 TO Margin). Hoyer has to be on his game where the weather will likely be poor or the Bills will feast on him.

Buffalo will need their defense to play big because the offense has a lot of problems still. CJ Spiller is out still and Fred Jackson hasn’t seen a full workload yet, but Dixon has played well for the Bills as of late.

The offense for the Bills is averaging 21.6 PPG (19th), 225.5 PYPG (20th) and 97.5 RYPG (22nd). They put up 38 on the Jets on MNF, but don’t expect that to happen again against a solid Browns defense.

Cleveland is giving up 19.9 PPG (8th), 232.2 PYPG (9th) and 134.9 RYPG (29th). The run defense has to get better if the Browns want to be a playoff team, but the rest of the defense is picking up the slack.

Free NFL Picks: Cleveland Browns vs. Buffalo Bills

The home team has done well the last two years in this H2H series.

The Browns won at home last year and the Bills won at home in 2012. I just have to take the points, as I think Cleveland is the better team.

Cleveland Browns +3 (+100)

With Gordon back they have a much more balanced offense that’ll keep teams guessing. I’d wait to see where this line goes in the next couple days because we may be able to get +3.5 points by kick-off.
