New England Patriots 2015 Super Bowl Odds & 5 Reasons to bet on them

Looking for Super Bowl XLIX Gambling Futures?

Super Bowl Sunday is just over three weeks away and while there are still conference championship games to get out of the way, it’s never too early to get those Super Bowl picks in.

New England Patriots +193 to win 2015 Superbowl

Any one of the four remaining teams (Colts, Packers, Patriots, Seahawks) has a real shot at taking home the hardware this year, but who should you bet on?

Do you take the long odds on the Colts? Do you take the safe money with the Seahawks?

Rather than wracking your brain on potential match ups and what ifs, we here at Cappers Picks will lend you a hand.

Here’s five reasons why you should put your money on the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl.

1) Tom Brady:

At first, I really considered making this all five reasons to pick the Patriots.

There’s no doubt that this may be the best crop of quarterbacks we’ve seen at the conference championship stage with five Super Bowl rings among the four, three of which belong to Brady.

Aaron Rodgers has one and Russell Wilson does too, but given the choice of any quarterback in the league to start the biggest game of the year, you have to go with Tom Brady.

2) Their odds:

Most odds makers have the Patriots at a +193 shot to win right now which is pretty decent money given the fact that in all likelihood they’ll actually be playing in the big game.

The Seahawks are going off at +117 odds, but realistically they have a much tougher match up in the Green Bay Packers than the Pats do with Indianapolis.

$100 on the Patriots will bring back $193 on top of your bet while the same bet on the Seahawks will land you $76 less.

3) What’s left in front of them:

The Colts are in front of the Pats first and New England manhandled Indy by a count of 42-20 in Indianapolis in week 11.

Beyond that I like their chances against either Green Bay or Seattle. The Packers edged out a close one over the Pats in week 13, but that was at Lambeau Field where the Packers just don’t lose. New England didn’t see Seattle this year but rest assured the Seahawks aren’t quite the same team away from Century Link Field.

The Seahawks dropped road games to St. Louis, Kansas City and San Diego this year, all of whom did not make the post season.

4) The road ahead for the others:

This is almost a sub-heading to the above reason, but it stands to be mentioned as well. The Colts have to come into New England where the Patriots were essentially perfect this season, save for a loss to the Bills in a meaningless week 17 game when the Pats already had the one seed sewn up.

Green Bay and Seattle will be going to war and who knows what Aaron Rodgers’ health will be like should the Packers get through. As for Seattle, it’s just very, very tough to repeat as champions in the NFL, as is evidence by the fact no one has done it in a decade since the Patriots repeated as champs in 2004 and 2005.

5) Hunger (Tom Brady & Bill Belichick):

Assuming the Pats get by the Colts on Sunday, which I expect them to, this will be the third appearance at the Super Bowl for Brady and Belichick since 2008. Two stinging losses to the Giants has to be lingering in the backs of their minds and I’ve said for years don’t ever bet against Brady and Belichick after a loss, let alone two.

If the Pats are in the big game these two will find a way to get it done, especially at the University of Phoenix stadium, the site of their first loss to the Giants at Super Bowl XLII.
