Kellen Clemens will start at QB for the Rams against one of the best defensive units in the game. Seattle is 14-2 SU in their last 16 games overall against the Rams, and 6-2 SU in their last eight games at St. Louis.

The Rams on the other hand are only 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games, and 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games against Seattle overall.

The Seattle Seahawks continue to look like the class of the NFC this year – their only loss was to a Colts team that has also beaten the 49ers and the Broncos. Offensively this team is exceeding expectation. Russell Wilson has passed for 1,489 yards and 11 touchdowns on the season while also rushing for 323 yards while Marshawn Lynch has rushed for 578 yards and six touchdowns already this year.

The Hawks have emerged as one of the most balanced offenses in the league – capable of beating anyone in any aspect of the game.

The Seahawks have one of the top defenses in the league – a superb compliment to an offense that looks like they can wins game all by themselves. The Hawks rank third in points allowed per game, second in total yards and pass yards allowed per game and sixth in rushing yards allowed.

There are playmakers all over the Seattle defense – they have given their offense short fields early and often all season long. Seattle`s defense is coming off a season-high seven-sack performance against the Cardinals and has held opposing quarterbacks to a 66.1 passer rating – second in the league behind only the unbeaten Chiefs (64.9).

The St. Louis Rams are in trouble! Sam Bradford is out for the season leaving Kellen Clemens to guide an offense that had been OK this year. Bradford was off to the best start of his career – 61 percent completions (159 of 262), 1,687 yards, 14 touchdown passes with only four interceptions for 90.9 passer rating. [soliloquy id=”82219″]

Clemens certainly won`t live up to those numbers! After all Clemens has completed 52 percent of his passes (198 of 382) with seven touchdown passes and 13 interceptions in 31 NFL games for a 62.2 passer rating.

At least the Rams have a running game – right? Wrong! They have rushed for 498 yards in seven games this season – 80 fewer than the Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch has all by himself.

Defensively, the Rams rank 24th in points allowed per game and 22nd in total yards allowed per game — one of the lower-tiered defenses in the NFL.

The 30th-ranked run defense will most definitely have their issues with Mr. Lynch and Mr. Wilson Monday night.

Monday Night Football Betting Prediction

A few trends to consider:

• SEA are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 road games.
• Over is 7-1 in SEA last 8 games in Week 8.
• Over is 8-2 in SEA last 10 road games.
• STL are 7-2 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
• STL are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. NFC West.
• STL are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games.
• SEA are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 meetings.

Make no mistake about it – this game will be a blowout. Gone are the days that Seattle was vulnerable on the road – they are 6-2 SU in their last eight road games and seem to raise their level of play when they are featured on national TV.

Kellen Clemens will be harassed all night long and will definitely be forced into a couple of crucial mistakes. The Hawks go 7-1 in relatively easy fashion Monday night!

Pick: Seattle Seahawks -11
