New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills Preview

On the season the Patriots are 2-3 ATS and they have an O/U record of 3-2 and the Bills are 3-2 ATS and they have an Under record of 5-0.

This season the Bills are 1-1 at home and the Patriots are 1-2 on the road.

In their last games the Patriots beat the Cincinnati Bengals 43-17 and the Bills beat the Detroit Lions 17-14.

The winner of the game will take sole possession of first place in the AFC East.

Many people had written off the Patriots and Tom Brady, but they showed in their last game they still might be a legit Super Bowl contender. Brady passed for nearly 300 yards in the win over the Bengals and the New England defense forced 3 turnovers in the game. On top of that the Pats rushed for 220 yards in the win over Cincy.

Buffalo is a surprising 3-2 and they overcame a 14-point deficit to beat the Lions in their house in their last game. Kyle Orton as inserted as the starting QHB in the last game and he responded by passing for over 300 yards. However, this Sunday he will be facing a New England pass defense that is the 3rd ranked unit in the league.

The Buffalo pass D only ranks 21st in the league, but they played well in the win over Detroit holding Matthew Stafford in check and holding the Lions to only 14 points. Brady played well as he was given time in the pocket and that is the key in this game.

Buffalo had 6 sacks in the Lions win and overall they have the most sacks in the league so far this season. And if they can pressure Brady in the pocket all game they have a legit chance to win.

The Pats got good games from the RB duo of Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen, but this RB duo will be up against a Bills run defense that ranks #1 in the league and totally stuffed the run last week.

The Bills’ strength on offense is running the ball and while they got the W against the Lions both C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson struggled to run the ball. They will have to run the ball well in this game, as they cannot rely on Orton to do it all facing the solid New England pass defense,

While the Patriots rank in the middle of the pack when it comes to run defense (17th) that unit played great this last Sunday against Cincy when they only gave up 79 rushing yards.

Cappers NFL Free 4* Pick

Brady proved in the Cincy win he still has some gas left in his tank and while the Bills are an up and coming team they will not beat New England, who will win and cover the spread.
