Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks Preview

On the season the Cardinals are 8-2 ATS and they have an O/U record of 3-6-1 and the Seahawks are 4-6 ATS and they have an O/U record of 7-3.

This season the Seahawks are 4-1 at home and the Cardinals are 3-1 on the road.

In their last games the Cardinals beat the Detroit Lions 14-6 and the Seahawks lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 24-20.

The Cardinals rank 30th in rushing yards per game and 29th in pass defense and they have the best record in the NFL? Yeah, Arizona just keeps on winning even though they have issues and they lost starting QB Carson Palmer for the season. They are riding a 5-game winning and they have only allowed more than 20 points in one game, which was their lone loss.

All is not good for Seattle, as they are in a major hole in the NFC West and Marshawn Lynch is on the hot season after some recent issues. The Seahawks have a MAJOR uphill battle to win the NFC West and in their last 6 games of the season they face the Cardinals and 49ers twice apiece.

Drew Stanton passed for over 300 yards in the win over the Lions with 2 TD and 2 INT. He has a great WR corps that is coming up big in the last several games and they have to be a worry for the Seahawks even though they have the 3rd ranked pass D in the league.

Stanton was not sacked in the win over the Lions and he will be up against a Seattle pass rush that has struggled all season and has the 2nd fewest sacks in the league.

The Cardinals keep winning even though they really lack a legit run game. Andre Ellington has not been impressive, but he will face a Seattle run defense that was torched last week by Kansas City’s Jamaal Charles.

The Seahawks had their chances in the KC game, but were stopped on 3 straight 4th down conversions in the 4th quarter. Russell Wilson had a solid game with 2 TD and 0 INT even though he only passed for 178 yards.

Lynch may be in the doghouse with Pete Carroll, but the Seahawks would be wise to ride him in this game. He rushed for 124 yards in the loss to Detroit and will face a Arizona run defense that ranks 3rd in the league.

Seattle is a much better team when they can run the ball and Wilson makes plays when it counts, as if Wilson is counted on to carry the offense Arizona has a better chance to win.

Back at home Seattle will figure things out, as I think their D will come up big. Take the Seahawks to win and cover the spread snapping the Cardinals’ winning streak.
