What a dog of a game this one is. Jacksonville could very easily be the worst team in the NFL this season and Indianapolis is the least experienced I think. Put them together and this one could get pretty ugly to watch.

Someone has to win it and it seems unlikely that team will be Jacksonville even though they used to always play the Colts close when both teams were regular playoff contenders last decade.
Quarterback Blaine Gabbert is trying to prove he is an NFL QB but I don’t believe it. Yes his numbers are better than last year and he is making fewer mistakes but winning QB play is about the plays you do make sometimes and he is not making any big ones.

Running back Maurice Jones Drew is making it look like training camp is for suckers with a decent start.
The team is still waiting for top pick receiver Justin Blackmon to make an impact.
Jacksonville could be motivated as this game represents their best chance to win a game before the Colts visit Jacksonville in November. Lose this one and they could definitely have an 0-8 start.
The fact that they are only dogs by three points shows just how bad both of these teams are.
Again, somebody has to win it.
Indianapolis
With a rookie QB at the helm nobody is expecting much from the Colts this season.
They were dominated against Chicago in the opener but tightened things up enough to squeak out a victory against Minnesota last week. Now they have a chance to put a second victory on the books before their bye week. [soliloquy id=”82219″]
Like Jacksonville they better take advantage of the weak spots on their schedule.
Andrew Luck has played two career games and they have been two totally different stories. Against Chicago he looked like an unready rookie but last week he was much more poised. He may have all the tools to be great but I think what will lead him to success will be his patience.
Luck seems like a Phil Simms type not a John Elway.
He is lucky to have a reliable target like Reggie Wayne in the fold and he goes to him often.
Making a team a 3 point favourite at home is generally saying the teams are pretty evenly matched. The Colts have the advantage in the passing game and probably a better defense on the whole so they should win this lacklustre affair pretty easily.
It won’t be exciting but another chance to build the Luck mythology.
