The Titans (5-7) arrive at Sports Authority Field  to play their final game of a three-game road  trip that began well with a win in Oakland before a crushing 22-14 loss at Indianapolis last week.

There is little room for error after that defeat if Tennessee wants to keep its AFC South title and playoff hopes alive.

With that, the Titans will need a big day out of running back Chris Johnson, who has only one 100-yard game this season.  However, the always potentially explosive back, needs just two rushing touchdowns to become the third back in franchise history to reach 50, and he could pull it off Sunday versus a Denver defense that has had its share of struggles this season.

Denver’s pass defense is ranked 29th with an average of 284 yards allowed, but part of that is due to the opposition trying to keep pace with an offense that is putting up a staggering 38.7 points per game.

Peyton Manning, gouged the Chiefs for 403 yards and five touchdown passes in last week’s come-from-behind victory at Arrowhead Stadium, upping his season totals to 41 touchdown passes to only nine interceptions.  He enters Sunday’s contest with 4,125 yards, the most by any quarteback over the first 12 games of a season.

But the Broncos (10-2) aren’t just deadly in the air, they can hurt you on the ground too.

Running back Knowshon Moreno has been a dual threat out of the backfield all season long, and with the emergence of rookie Montee Ball, who has provided another boost to the offense by rushing for 117 yards last week, the Broncos are a force to be reckoned with.

Matt’s Free Prediction

The only hope the Titans have here is to keep the ball out of the hands of Manning.

Cold conditions are forecasted and that could help their chances.

Still, with a surging rushing attack, and a 6-0 record at home,  I expect the Broncos to welcome back Fox with a big win here, as they wrap up a postseason slot with their second straight win in as many outings.

Broncos 35, Titans 14
