Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill will look to lead the Dolphins to their second straight following their 16-13 Monday night victory over the Jets.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens playoff hopes took a step backwards last week when they failed to hold a lead late over the San Diego Chargers. Baltimore led 33-27 and watched Chargers QB Phillip Rivers lead San Diego down the field for a late touchdown with inside a minute to play. Baltimore currently sits in a three way tie now for 2nd place in the AFC North.

The Ravens thought they would become a pass first offense when they cut ties with former RB Ray Rice. The surprising Justin Forsett has stepped into the Ravens running back role and contributed in a big way. Forsett has eclipsed the 100 yard mark in the Ravens previous three games.

The Ravens will look to establish Forsett early and often against a Dolphins defense who has allowed 200 yards rushing in two straight games. The Ravens come into Sunday’s matchup ranked 5th overall in rushing with 131.8 yards a game.

On the road this season, Baltimore is 3-3 S.U. and 2-3-1 ATS. They won their most previous road game in New Orleans where they came out victorious 34-27

Miami

The Dolphins come in with momentum having taken out the New York Jets in the national spotlight behind a Caleb Sturgis 26 yard field goal with just 1:57 remaining. The Dolphins currently sit 2 games behind the Patriots in the AFC East standings. They also are in the thick of the AFC Wild Card race holding the 6th seed due to tie breaker scenarios.

Winners of five of their last seven games, Miami will play three of their last four games inside Sun Life Stadium where they are 3-2 this season. Their success at home starts with their defense who is allowing just 18.0 points a game.

QB Ryan Tannehill failed to throw a touchdown pass in New York, but is still in the midst of a pretty impressive streak. Tannehill has completed 70 percent of his passes thrown in 5 straight contests.

If Tannehill can do the same on Sunday, he will have accomplished a feat that the likes of Brett Favre and Peyton Manning have done.

NFL Football Handicapping Trends:

  • Ravens are 11-4 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
  • Ravens are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss.
  • Dolphins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
  • Ravens are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

Free 4* NFL Football Prediction: Baltimore +2.5

With Cincinnati creating a bit of separation in the AFC North, Baltimore needs to leave Sun Life Stadium Sunday with a win.

Baltimore 21, Miami 17

Look for Joe Flacco to have a big game en route to a Ravens road upset.
