Free NFL Pick: Steelers vs. Ravens Gambling Lines & Preview

Week 2 Odds: Pittsburgh vs Baltimore

What an exciting opening week! In week 2 NFL action the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) will head on the road to play the Baltimore Ravens (0-1). Bookmark us at Cappers Picks, as we post free NFL picks all season.

The Steelers won last week over the Browns (30-27), but failed to cover. Baltimore was a small favorite at home over the Bengals and they lost SU (23-16) due to Joe Flacco having a rough outing.

Ray Rice was released from the Ravens this week, so life without Rice will begin sooner than expected. I’m convinced that Bernard Pierce will struggle, but Justin Forsett looks ready to take over.

Forsett had 11 carries for 70 yards and 1 TD in the loss to Cincy while Pierce had 6 carries for 14 yards and a lost fumble. Forsett also caught 5 of 6 targets in the pass game, but only gained 14 yards.

Joe Flacco was the main reason why Baltimore lost in week 1. Flacco threw the football 62 times, but he only had 35 completions for 345 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. He also made more than one bonehead play.

Pittsburgh opened up a 27-3 lead at HT against the Browns at home last week, but they quickly unravelled in the 2H. The defense allowed the Browns to climb back in the game and tie it up at 27-27 in Q4.

Big Ben made a late play to get into FG range and Suisham kicked the winning FG, but seeing the Steelers allow 389 total yards (183 Rushing Yards) to a poor Browns offense was a bit of a surprise.

In the last two years these two teams have gone 2-2 against each other, but the Steelers are 3-0-1 ATS in those four games.

All four games were decided by 3 points or less, which is why I’m taking the points.

You have to pay some juice to get the Steelers at –3 (-125), but I feel it’s worth the risk. Baltimore will do everything in their power not to fall to 0-2 in the AFC North although I think they’ll lose SU.

Free NFL Football Pick: Steelers vs. Ravens

Divisional games are always close, especially when these two rivals meet up. I was more impressed with the Steelers as a whole in week 1 and feel they let up a bit, which allowed CLE back in the game.

4* Play on Pittsburgh Steelers +3 (-125)

Flacco has some nice weapons and Steve Smith fit right into the offense in week 1, but Flacco looked bad. With the media attention surrounding BAL right now I expect this team to struggle in the division.

Pittsburgh has a chance early in the season to prove that they’re ready to compete with the Bengals in the AFC North this season. It’ll be close, but under the prime time lights on TNF I like PIT to win by 3.
