The Chiefs enter this one having lost three in a row – a streak that began with a road loss to these very Raiders – but they’re still very much alive in the AFC wild card picture.

The team hopes to have running back Jamaal Charles on the field as they hope to get some revenge against the Raiders for that loss.
Charles racked up 111 yards from scrimmage and a pair of touchdowns in last weekend’s 17-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Charles leads the NFL with 14 touchdowns, but knee and ankle ailments have hampered him this week. The team is 6-2 this season when Charles receives at least 14 carries.
The Raiders responded from their 52-0 loss to the St. Louis Rams with a 24-13 win over the San Francisco 49ers in that one.

Quarterback Derek Carr threw for 254 yards and three touchdowns in that one, and the Raider defense surrendered a season-low 248 yards.
Rookie running back Latavius Murray returned from a one-week absence to carry the load for the team, turning his 23 totes into 76 yards. He ran for 112 yards and two scores on only four carries in the first meeting between these teams.
The Raiders are 0-6 on the road this season, and are 2-20 on the road over the last three seasons.

There’s little reason to like the idea of backing the Raiders, particularly after the giant egg they laid after their last victory, but these divisional matchups have a way of staying close. Oakland’s been playing better of late, and the backdoor cover potential is always there when they take the field.
Additionally, the under has been the play when these teams meet. The Raiders defense has been much improved of late, and that’s going to mean trouble for an uncreative Chiefs offense.

Kansas City’s pass rush will also give the Carr a tough time.
