Free NFL Pick: Jaguars vs. Bengals Gambling Lines & Preview

Week 9 Odds: Jacksonville vs Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Bengals (4-2-1) host the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7) on Sunday afternoon. Cappers Picks will be providing free NFL picks all season long, so come back daily for our latest analysis.

Action on this game has been relatively split on the point spread with the Jaguars getting money. This is a big spread and the Jaguars have hung around in games as of late, but this is a tough spot.

Dating back to last year the Bengals are 11-0-1 at home during the regular season. This team always steps up at home. Earlier this season the Bengals beat the Falcons (24-10) and Titans (33-7) by double digits.

A.J. Green is expected to play and that’s a huge boost to this Cincy offense. Mohamed Sanu has put up big numbers this season without Green, but with Green back Sanu will have a chance to do even better.

Cincinnati’s offense has been below average all season despite the talent. They average 241.4 PYPG (14th), 111.4 RYPG (16th) and 23.0 PPG (18th). Giovani Bernard has been held quiet the past few weeks also.

I think with Green back this offense will start producing much more. Defenses will have to account for him and that’ll open up more space for players like Bernard. I expect Cincy to explode offensively in this one.

Jacksonville allows 27.2 PPG (27th), 267.4 PYPG (27th) and 115.0 RYPG (20th). The defense has been playing better the last few weeks, but they did just give up 27 points in a loss to Miami last weekend.

Blake Bortles has definitely struggled since taking over at QB. He has 6 passing TD’s and 12 INT’s. He has thrown an interception on 5.8% of his pass attempts, but it’s good the Jags are developing him this year.

The Jaguars score the least amount of points (14.8 PPG) in the NFL. They average 97.2 RYPG (25th) and 209.4 PYPG (27th). Cincy is tough at home to score on and the Jags will be lucky to score 10+ points.

The Bengals give up 23.4 PPG (17th), but somehow they’re allowing 399.1 YPG (30th). This will be a good test for them because they shouldn’t allow anywhere near 23 points or 399 yards to the Jags.

Free 4* NFL Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cincinnati Bengals

These teams didn’t play each other last year, but they did the two years prior. Cincy won both games by double digits (17 & 10). Bortles will throw an interception or two and the Bengals will roll.

Cincinnati Bengals –10.5 (-110)

Green may not be a huge contributor in this one, but just having him on the field drawing coverage will help the other playmakers on this team. I hate spreads over 10 points, but I like Cincy over the Jags.
