Playoff implications are all over this game and it should the can’t miss game of the week.

That over/under line should tell you all you need to know about this one; points are in the forecast as two of the NFC’s best offenses will go head to head. These teams are more than just great offenses though, they’re arguably two of the best teams in the NFC and are both realistic picks to be playing in the conference championship.

Both teams are coming off of huge wins in prime time games. The Packers mauled the Bears by a count of 55-14 last Sunday night and the Eagles walked all over the Panthers in a 45-21 win on Monday Night Football.

It’s the point in the season where if you don’t have a favourite team you pick a conference to follow and this year it’s certainly the NFC. The AFC looks to be the Patriots and Broncos then everyone else. In the NFC however, the Eagles and Packers are just two of a handful of teams that could make a deep run and play in the Super Bowl in Arizona on February 1st.

Eagles

Starting out with the visitors in this one. Is it time yet to start considering Chip Kelly as one of the best coaches in the NFL? He certainly deserves to be in the conversation as one of the most brilliant offensive-minded coaches in the game.

Since joining the Eagles and implementing his uptempo offense, he’s gone from Michael Vick at QB, to making Nick Foles look like a Hall of Fame candidate last season. Foles faltered a bit this year but still had Philly at 5-2 before breaking his collar bone. Mark Sanchez has stepped in and the Eagles haven’t missed a step, showing that Kelly can make this offense hum no matter who he has under center.

Last week was the first time in Sanchez’s career that he threw for over 300 yards, two TDs and no interceptions in the same game. The defense was dominant as well against the Panthers, racking up nine sacks on Cam Newton and picking him off three times. Special teams chipped in too with a punt return TD by Darren Sproles.

What’s scarier still, this Eagles team put up 45 points while star running back LeSean McCoy and the Eagles put up just 37 rushing yards.

Packers

Aaron Rodgers is the man. While most of the NFL heaps praise on AFC QB’s Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, Rodgers just goes about his business of dominating in the NFC.  When the Pack started the season 1-2 Rodgers spelled out for the fans to R-E-L-A-X.

How does 2,400 + yards passing, 25 TDs and just three interceptions sound? The Packers fans may be doing some spelling of their own, M-V-P.

Green Bay has amassed 277 points this season, second in the NFC behind, you guessed it, Philadelphia at 279. There’s no question that both of these teams can score points, but does Green Bay have what it takes to stop or at least slow down Philly’s dynamic and fast paced attack?

If there’s one worrisome stat in this one it’s that the Packers are giving up the third most rush yards per game in the NFL at 142.6. Philly’s run game has been hit or miss so far this year, but if Green Bay allows McCoy and Sproles to run wild on them, it’s going to be a long day.

Take aways will be of huge importance in this one as the Packers have the third highest total of interceptions with 12 and Philly has been prone to giving the ball away this year.

The Packers will need to get stops through going and getting the ball in this one.

Week 11 Eagles vs. Packers 4* Free Pick

Philly’s only two losses on the season have come by a combined nine points, so that six point spread in this one looks a little high. Green Bay however has been dominant at home and are a perfect 4-0 and have outscored their last two opponents by a combined score of 93-31 in their last two games at Lambeau.

Take the over paying -110.

The spread just seems like too much of a risk to go near on either side, so go with the over in this one as I can see both teams going over 30 points.
