San Francisco is out in the NFC but may have bigger concerns than that.
San Diego
The Chargers had back to back home games against the best teams in the conference and lost both.

That certainly confirms the level of this team but they are still alive in the playoff race though they are behind the eight ball. Last year this team snuck into the playoffs at the end but I don’t see that happening again this season.
They are catching San Francisco at a low point but would also have to win next week at Kansas City. That one is going to be a tough one to get.
The last couple of weeks the offense has let the team down, scoring a combined 24 points.

The running game has been a challenge all season long and they are currently second last in the league averaging under 85ypg.
That puts a lot on Philip Rivers who just doesn’t have a lot of explosive weapons at his disposal.
This team really needs to add some juice to their offense in the offseason.
San Francisco
There is a lot of talk about the 49ers right now and none of it is good.
They are not going to make the playoffs and if you listen closely it looks like they are going to lose their coach as well. 7-7 is their record and even with all of the injuries most thought this team would be better than .500.
It is hard to tell what kind of effort you are going to get from this club over the final two weeks of the season.
Maybe Jim Harbaugh can rally the troops but he also might Petrino bomb right out of Dodge.
It is hard not to put the blame on Colin Kaepernick for the team’s struggles this season.
They are in the Top 10 on defense and can still run the ball but their passing attack averages less than 200ypg. I can’t say how much his protection has been a factor but CJ7 is just not getting it done…and the weapons are there too.

I have some faith that he can turn things around but this season is lost.

They will be motivated and even though I don’t see them playing great I think they get the victory as a small favourite. Good value here.
