NFL Football Picks: Handicapping Angles – Week 6 Free Parlay

Week 6 FREE NFL Parlay Picks

They say that football is a game of inches, but when it comes to wagering on this sport it is a matter of points. I missed-out on cashing-in on my second-straight NFL two-team parlay last week by a half-point with a play of the OVER on the total line in the Giants 30-20 win over Atlanta.

The line closed at 50.5.

Not to be deterred, I will try and get back to my winning ways with another solid two-team play for this Sunday’s games based on betting odds from BetOnline.

Game 1-New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills

Pointspread: New England -3
Total Line: 45

I used New England last week in the back-end of that parlay and it came through with ease as a 2.5-point home underdog in a lopsided 43-17 romp over previously unbeaten Cincinnati. Bill Belichick has not led the Patriots to double-digit wins in his last 11 seasons as head coach by accident and quite a few of those wins have come as the expense of Buffalo.

Looking back at the last 21 meetings in this AFC East tilt, New England has won the game straight-up 20 times. It record against the spread in its last 10 road games in this series is 7-2-1.

The Bills have battled their way to a 3-2 SU start, but it has not been easy behind an offense that is ranked 26th in the NFL in yards per game (325.2) and 28th in average points (19.2).

Things have gotten so bad that head coach Doug Marrone has turned to journeyman Kyle Orton as his starting quarterback for a struggling EJ Manuel.

To add even more concern for Bills fans in this matchup is a defense that is ranked 20th in the league against the pass. Bank on New England to come through again this week to secure the front-end of this two-team play.

4* NFL Parlay Pick: Pats -3

Game 2- New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Pointspread: Philadelphia -2.5
Total Line: 50

New York has worked its way back into the mix of the NFC East title race after a sloppy 0-2 start with a three-game winning streak heading into Sunday night’s division showdown. In lopsided victories against Houston, Washington and Atlanta by an average margin of 18 points, the Giants have put up 105 points.

Behind a resurgent Eli Manning, who has tossed eight touchdowns in this run while completing over 70 percent of his throws, New York is now ranked eighth in the league in scoring with an average of 26.6 points per game.

No team in the NFL is scoring more points than Philadelphia. Aided in the past two weeks by an additional four touchdowns by special teams and the defense, it has averaged 31.2 PPG in its 4-1 start.

Second-year head coach Chip Kelly has made scoring points his top priority, but he still needs to fix a defense that is giving them up in bunches.

The Eagles are ranked 25th in the NFL in points allowed (26.4) which is the perfect recipe for a play on the OVER 50 in the back-end of this week’s NFL parlay. It also helps that the total has gone OVER in five of Philadelphia’s last six games as a home favorite.

4* NFL Parlay Pick: OVER 50
