NFL Football Picks: Handicapping Angles – Week 11 Free Parlay

Week 11 FREE NFL Parlay Picks

This is the time of the year when wins and losses can start to mean the difference between a trip to the NFL Playoffs or an early jump on the long NFL offseason.

The Oddsmakers continue to tighten-up the betting odds for the games so it is also the time of the year when the extra effort handicapping the matchups can really payoff.

The extra effort digging deep into the Week 11 NFL matchups should hopefully provide an immediate return this Sunday with a pair of free picks that come together perfectly to form this week’s NFL two-team parlay.

Game 1 – Cincinnati Bengals vs. New Orleans Saints

Pointspread: New Orleans -8
Total Line: 50.5
Matchup | Preview

The Bengals’ season is at a crossroads after last Thursday’s 24-3 loss to Cleveland as six-point home favorites dropped them to 2-3-1 in their last six games.

They are still in the thick of the AFC North title race, but the competition is fierce with all four teams sporting a winning record.

The problem with Cincinnati is some major inconsistency on offense and especially with its quarterback Andy Dalton. Even the Bengals’ vaunted defense has had its issues as of late after allowing an average of 29.7 points in its last six games.

I went with the Saints in last week’s parlay against San Francisco as six-point home favorites and they came up short in a 27-24 loss in overtime. This was a tough loss to swallow after they were able to overcome a slow start to almost pull-out the win.

However, it does not diminish the fact that New Orleans is still one of the best teams in the NFL when playing in the friendly confines of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

I am also confident that Drew Brees is not going to turn the ball over three times this Sunday like he did against the 49ers, which all adds up to a SU win that covers the eight-point spread.

Game 2 Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers

Pointspread: Green Bay -5
Total Line: 56.5
Matchup | Preview

It obviously does not matter who is under center for the Eagles with head coach Chip Kelly running the show on offense as his system is designed to do just one simple thing; score points.

This unit got some help from the defense and special teams to run up 45 points in this past Monday night’s romp over Carolina, but backup quarterback Mark Sanchez picked-up where the injured Nick Foles left off with 332 yards passing and two scoring strikes.

Philadelphia is currently 7-2 straight-up on the year behind an offense that is ranked fourth in the NFL in scoring with an average of 31 points a game.

Green Bay also made a statement this past Sunday night by hammering Chicago 55-14 to run its record to 6-3.

This followed a stunning 44-23 loss to New Orleans in Week 8, but if you look back at the Packers’ last six contests, they have averaged 37.2 points a game. When Aaron Rodgers is on he is basically unstoppable.

Given the fact that he will be facing a Philadelphia defense that is ranked 22nd in the NFL in passing yards allowed, he should be in for a really big day in front of the home-town crowd.

The Oddmakers may be trying scare bettors away from a play on the OVER with it set at 57, but I could easily see both of these teams putting up 30 points or more in this shootout.
