The NFL regular season is starting to really heat up with all 32 teams playing at least half their schedule. From here on in the games take on a certain sense of urgency as teams continue to battle it out for a spot in this year’s Super Bowl Derby.

After taking a bye week of my own, I am back at in Week 10 with a couple of gems that come together perfectly to form this week’s NFL two-team parlay for Cappers Picks based on betting odds from BetOnline.

Game 1-San Francisco 49ers vs. New Orleans Saints

Pointspread: New Orleans -4.5
Total Line: 49

Both of these high-profile NFC teams started the season near the top of the list to win the conference this season, but things have not gone as expected for either of these powers in a 4-4 straight-up start. The situation in San Francisco appears to be much more troubling after the team suffered back-to-back losses to Denver and St. Louis both SU and against the spread in its last two games. A fluky fumble by Colin Kaepernick on a game-winning score from the one yard line against the Rams this past Sunday just epitomized the play of a team headed in the wrong direction.

The Saints have also come under fire this season for sloppy play, but they have taken two big steps towards righting the ship with back-to-back blowout victories over Green Bay and Carolina as slight favorites their last two times out. They are now 3-0 ATS in their last three contests. Everyone knows that New Orleans is a much better team at home and that plays perfectly into this matchup between teams headed in opposite directions. Stick with the Saints all the way this Sunday afternoon as they continue their run with another win ATS.

Game 2- Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers

Pointspread: Green Bay -8
Total Line: 53.5

Sunday Night Football this week features a classic rivalry in the NFC North between the Bears and the Packers. Both teams went into last week’s bye following a bad loss, but the situation in Chicago appears to be far worse. The Bears are actually just 1-4 both SU and ATS in their last five games and coming apart at the seams after getting crushed by Miami and New England by a combined 78-37 score in their last two games. As the losses have piled-up in a 3-5 start both SU and ATS so have the inevitable finger pointing that only works to tear things apart.

The Packers will look to quickly erase the memory of Week 8’s lopsided 44-23 loss to New Orleans as two-point road underdogs. The good news is that heading into that game against the Saints they had just reeled-off four victories both SU and ATS by a combined score of 145-68. Aaron Rodgers proved why he should be a future “Hall of Famer” during this run and, on the year, he is completing 67.6 percent of his throws for 2,092 yards and 19 touchdowns against just three interceptions. I am sticking with Green Bay to quickly return to form and cover the eight points at home against their rivals this Sunday night to secure the back-end of this week’s NFL two-team parlay.
